Another lovely day in Oklahoma. . .

Hope your day is better today Sherry :flower:

Keeping on topic, I'm currently in Melbourne and the weather isn't as good as in the Valley.

I also didn't sleep much last night so the last thing I wanted to do was drive down the highway this morning. It's fair to say I'm a little stabby today.

:cold:Caught in northern Alberta by an uncommonly early snow storm that was preceded by 12 hours of freezing rain. We've been back here in my hometown for a week as my DMother (age 99) went quietly to her reward last Thursday :littleangel:. Services were Oct. 13 and we tried to leave yesterday (I'm sooo ready to go home) but had to turn back because the highways were so treacherous. DH spent the day acquiring snow tires and we plan to head out again this morning - wish us luck. (I've sure though of Willie often these past few days - nothing from him yet, huh?)

The word of the day is FALTER - it is the Canadian season between summer and winter. Not to be confused with SPRINTER, which is the season between winter and summer! :wave2:

Good luck getting home. That pic reminds me too much of our winters. So not looking forward to that season!!!! :cold:

Kindly accept my apology yet again... sigh. It was a zombie thread from Sept, 8th that I'd read, and in error I'd thought was an Oct. 8th posting made by King Schultz. I've edited that part of my post #1727 that no longer reads about that mistaken post sighting.

Ronandannette, I,m so sorry for the loss of your Mom,. Your Mom lived a long life But it still must not be easy for you.

Octoberbeauty, belated happy birthday! Hope you had some cake!

Hey Sherry I'm a day late but Happy Birthday! :bday:party: I have just the WORD OF THE DAY for you...

RUMANTIC WEEKEND: Life sucks but it's the weekend and there's some rum in the cabinet. Some Coke or fruit juice and you're all set for a RUMANTIC WEEKEND.

In a sentence: After work Sherry will be picking up some snacks, ice cream, and Pina Colada mix and begin her RUMANTIC WEEKEND.

See also RUMANTIC WEEKEND GETAWAY when rum is consumed away from your home town.

I love that! Thank you so much. Had a tequila friday night and a Rumantic Saturday night (date included!! 8-)).

Thank you everyone for the birthday wishes!! :flower:

I'm so sorry to hear about your mom. No matter the age, it's never easy. My thoughts are with you.

I finally updated my old phone today. As I find phone shopping (and computer and car shopping) beyond tedious, I whizzed in grabbed a sales guy pointed at the Samsung Galaxy S7 and was out of the shop within 10 minutes. Nothing like making an informed decision :p

I have no idea how to work the stupid thing though. And I've lost Alan Rickman's voice as my notification alert

Hope everyone had a great Sunday.

Anyone who uses Alan Rickman's voice as a sound alert on their phone is pretty cool IMO. I hope you figure out how to get that onto your new phone.
