I'm surprised our motel didn't lose power after a couple of crazy bolts of lightning in the area!! Do you lose yours a lot?

Not really. . yesterday was the second time this year so far.

It used to be more of a problem, but the power company must have changed something because it happens less now than in past years.

And right on cue, a storm came up and a funnel cloud was spotted here in Coweta.

It never dropped down, but the power blinked out for a minute but came right back on.

Thunder storms are pretty usual here any time of year. .. . the funnel was unusual for August, but it never touched down so no damage as far as I know.

You need to petition for a better power company. It's time to bury the lines. We live in tropical storm/hurricane central & it's extremely rare for us to lose power.

I agree. . . but it's Coweta; we're lucky we have power!
