Our heat index got up to 103 which is a bit unusual for Michigan. I'm sure it's just so I can prepare for your state!!

We will be flying in Aug 19.........her original due date. Haven't flown in 4 years so a bit nervous about it.

No worries. The flight will be fantastic, the weather will be perfect & this will be the greatest trip of your life. You're going to meet your grandbaby. Life is good.

Kitty I'm in SW Michigan. I didn't realize you are in Michigan, too!
It got to 92 degrees today here. As you mention, unusual. I really noticed the heat and humidity.
(Only in Michigan for 6 more months, then retirement and a move. )

You must live near the Kalamazoo area, right? DH just retired 2 weeks ago and I retired a year ago. It's great fun! Where do you plan on moving?

Yup, Kzoo. We've enjoyed living here, we moved here about 5 years ago due to dh's job. We're moving to Omaha NE. (Do I hear Peyton Manning??? )

Well that sucks!

It's actually a little cooler here today. . . 92 and 100 heat index and just started to rain a little.

No, we've moved around a lot. dh spent many years in the military and then with contracting/gov't jobs. The main reason is it gets us nearer one of our kids, we're spread out over the US. We lived there a year before coming here, so we kinda know our way around there.
Not many people retire to NE, though. Maybe we're trailblazers.

Will you stay in Michigan?

We might do a month long rental in Florida in the winter but otherwise, yes, we will stay in Michigan as our other two sons and wives live in the Detroit area and my brothers and sisters live in my town along with my parents.
