I know that this has pretty much been talked to death but I want to have something straight...which pet loop is the closest to the marina and can you walk to the marina from the loop easily ? TIA

The 700 loop would be the closest pet loop to the marina, followed by the 300 loop. The exit for the 700 loop is directly across the street from the cart path leading to the Trail's End cart parking & Settlement Trading Post. However, if you are assigned to a site near the entrance of 700, it is a longer walk. One side of the 700 loop backs up to the main road & you will constantly hear the buses (remember - they run until 2:00am).

If you don't mind a little walking, I recommend the 300 loop, as a number of sites back up to a creek & there is a nice walking trail behind site 328 that leads to Settlement. There is also a bus stop for the 300 loop, which is lacking at the 700 loop due to the proximity to Settlement Depot.

JMHO :flower3:

I was going to request a loop whenever I made reservations. I was hoping to get as close to the marina as I could because my dd is in a wheelchair and transfering from one bus to another is anything but fun, so if we take wdw transportation it will be just the boat this time around. Thanks :sail:

I would request the 700 loop with the added request for a site near the exit because of your reason mentioned. I think that even if you got a site near the entrance of the 700 loop it would still be an easier walk to the marina compared to the walk from the 300 loop.

Another consideration you might think about Loop 700 I believe shares a comfort station with loop 400. We had our son 16 yr old son in a wheelchair when we were in loop 300 and we just pushed him to the settlement. It wasnt too bad. If fact it was kind of nice to walk and look around. Its not really far.

Given the information about the wheelchair - advise the reservationist that you require a site near the exit of the 700 loop. If your pets stay at home, you can request the 100 loop & it is a VERY short walk to the marina.

Check out this map & you can see for yourself:

Yea, I really liked the location of 100 loop but this time we are going to take our dog with us so we are going to be limited as to choices. The 700 loop sounds about right. Thanks :santa:
