Another LAX question

Ok now we are finally set on our plans. We are going ot be flying out of LAX at 7:40pm on Monday March 6. When is the most prudent time to leave DL to make sure we are on time. We will be returning a rental car most likely. Supershuttle has their earliest pick-up for our flight time as 4:00pm but recommended 4:30ish just to give a basis for comparison.

There was a recent thread re: LAX; you might want to search for it. I do NOT recommend flying out of LAX (EVER!), but if you absolutely have to, plan on being there a few hours before your flight leaves. Their pre-gate procedures are incredibly slow. Good luck--

If your flight leaves at 7:40 p.m. you'll want to be checked no later than say 6:15 p.m. However because LAX is LAX it can take you a long while to get through security. I'd say leave DL no later than 4 p.m.
