Another Illuminations Question

Just out of curiosity, does anyone know how often Illuminations is cancelled because of bad weather?

Very rarely! Helen (hmgolden) her Illuminations went off despite the rain. I really love her rain photos! Disney does have backup venues in case of inclement weather!

It rained at our Welcome Dessert Party and Illuminations still went off. After our rehearsal our EM approached us and told us of the rain and offered to have it moved to an indoor location and everyone in our bridal party wanted to have it outside and didn't care about the rain. They gave everyone a Mickey poncho and we had a ball in the rain.

I have never heard of Illuminations being cancelled due to the weather. Jonette was right, we had a pretty fierce storm blow through the night of our wedding. During our reception, my EM told me we had to move the desserts inside because of the weather, so we ate inside at the Norway Pavilion. It wasn't raining yet at 8:50, so I opted to make the walk to the Italy Isola. It was windy and thundering and lightning at that point. Disney handed out ponchos (for free!) to the guests that wanted them, and right when Illuminations started the rain came down. It made the event that much more memorable!
