Another HDD question (sorry)

I am looking for some guidance so any and all suggestions are welcome. I am hoping to be in the world 7/28-8/1 along with my sister, bil and niece and nephew (7 year old twins). We have never been to HDD before and I would like to surprise them with a reservation (and of course pay for the meal). I called WDW dining, and after being on hold for 20 min was told that FRi-Sun, 7/28-7/30 were all open, I don't want to do 7/28 since we won't be arriving until about 6pm anyway. Relaizing that these are not optimum date but since they are the only choices I have does anyone think one may be better than the other two as far as seating goes? Was told by the cm at dining that the tables are set by Pioneer Hall and they take into account party size and kids ages. Don't know whether this true or not? I don't want to put his off until another trip because I don't know when the next time I will be in WDW with the kids. Thanks in advance for any help.

seating is assigned by how early you call and book. any day is great for the HDD!! go for it!
