Another Half Board Question

was just about to add it onto our booking and was told we could not use it in annettes diner. i asked could we not use it and pay the extra and he told me no half board plus can only be used at the 14 restaurants listed on the voucher. Has anyone used it at any restaurants not listed and paid the extra. As we were planning on eating in Annettes Diner and Cafe mickey and using the vouchers then paying the extra in cash.
i was always though u could eat in any restaurant (except rainforest cafe and planet holywood) use the voucher at cash value and pay extra in cash

Sorry I'm not clear, have you got HB standard or plus? We used HB plus in Annettes and Cafe Mickey in February.

i haent booked yet but was going to book half board plus. but he told me Annettes diner was not one of the restaurants. i had read on another thread somewhere Annettes wasnt on the plus list now but i still thought i could have paid the extra

I booked HB plus today.

I was under the impression it can be used at face value in any restaurant (except the non disney 3)

I sure hope I can, or I might be cancelling.

I've read tonnes of times they can be used anywhere for 25 euro value though.

yes thats exactly what i thought and had also been told when i first booked my trip. But we didnt book it then as we werent sure
i think i just got some halfwit on the phone who didnt know what he was talking about

I agree, of course it will work in annettes and everywhere else. If it works in Blue Lagoon and other places then why wouldn't it work in a burger joint?

I have wondered if you can use it as part payment for two small meals though....?

But I don;t know why Im worrying, I have my 3 voucher meals already booked:

Walts
Lucky Nugget
Cafe Mickey

I know the first two take them, and hope CM takes them as part payment.

Quite possible! We didn't use them in May because we weren't staying at a Disney hotel, and I know they have changed slightly since February so my information may be out of date. I'm pretty sure someone else said they'd used them at face value just recently though.

yes hopefully someone who has used them recently can clear this up for us as we defo want to eat in cafe mickey and Annettes

We used half board plus in february. We used them in Annettes and didn't have to top them up but only got a limited choice. On the 2nd night we used them in Billy Bobs and ate from the buffet everyone else was eating too. On the 3rd night we used them in Cafe Mickey and topped them up. I hope this is still the case as we were planning to buy them again for our next trip.

i asked this question about annettes dinner and was told that i would be given a different menu than the main menu but i could ask them for the normal menu and just pay the difference

Hi we used Half Board Plus vouchers in Annettes Tuesday just gone. You have the main menu and you pick from the burger section (beef, chicken or veggie etc) which comes with fries, then pick one from the side orders (which includes onion rings, tortilla chips and dips, coleslaw, etc) and then you get either a coffee or brownie with icecream and cream! You also get a drink, (a pint!) of coke, sprite etc or a 50ml beer. The portions are BIG - I had a be bop burger (I think it was called) which contained beef, cheese and avocado - really nice fast food. Hope this helps - Julie x

Thanks for that info. We always eat lunch at Annettes when we arrive and so are planning to do the same again in July this time with half board vouchers. We usually go for a burger with fries and side of onion rings so that sounds perfect
