Another golf cart rental question/opinions

We are going to FW 6/22-7/8. I've been thinking about renting a cart (probably offsite) but haven't booked anything. Another party is coming down 6/28-7/8. Thought we could split the cost even if we just get a 4 seater and take multiple trips if we need too. We are staying in Loop 300.
IDK now if I should rent offsite due to all the bad reviews. Can somebody recommend a good company?
Also, it sounds like we are probably too late in renting one from Disney. What are the chances that we can rent one for a day last minute (catch one available between reservations). My family will be doing US/IoA a few days before the other party arrives and the other party has never been to WDW. So we plan on actually camping and hanging some but I just didn't want to rent a cart for $600 from Disney and say (wow that thing has sat there for 2 days straight now". Any tips/advice? Everyone will have bikes but I just picture going to the pool then biking back and dripping sweat by the time we get to our site.

We rented a cart for the first time over Xmas week and we were so glad to have it -- in fact I told my H I won't go again without a cart. I HATE how expensive the rental is, but when I called an off site vendor the pick up/drop off process was too stressful since we drive down our Class C without a toad, so we sucked up Disney's prices.

Have you called to reserve and been told they are sold out? You don't have to pay anything in advance, so I would reserve even if you aren't sure you will need it, and just cancel in time to not be charged.

We tried to extend our rental by 1 day and were out of luck.

Back in Nov I used Kenny's Tee Time Rentals and had no issues, they were very easy to deal with. As I mentioned in another post recently I rented from a Sun to Sun and saved over $200 from what Disney wanted. Being that it was an off site vendor we had to meet them in LBV and they let you use their pick-up and trailer. We had a ride but if you need transportation they can arrange a taxi service that they use all the time. Even if I had to use their taxi person I still would have saved about $120. Both the pickup process and drop off process took just under and hour, closer to 45 min I believe.

I will never do FW without a cart, made things so much easier.

I second Kenny at Tee Times. Twice we have rented from him and had no issues either time. Had to meet them about a mile offsite and use my vehicle (he gives you the option to use his if you like) to transport the trailer and cart into the Fort then return his trailer to him. Took about an hour from the time I left my site until I was back and riding the cart.

I have utilized Kenny at Tee Time three times, with no issues. He has been great to work with. Everytime he has quoted me great pricing, contacted me the week before to arrange pick-up, showed up on-time, and picked up on-time. We had one issue with a cart, and I called him. They came to my site and fixed it that day. I would highly recommend Kenny, just wish that Disney would take it easier on this small business trying to make money.

I understand the sentiment but the "BIG" Disney looks at it as them being competition (i.e. a business taking their money away), not a small business trying to make money.

I will say that while I HATE paying to rent through Disney, at least they give you the option to bring your own cart (or an outside cart). We camp at Jellystone's in the north east pretty regularly and they don't allow outside carts, AND their rentals are a few dollars MORE than Disney. Other campgrounds at the Jersey shore only allow you to bring your own cart if you are a seasonal renter. So, Disney isn't looking so bad...
