Are the carts from the Bike Barn only 4 passenger models, or does Disney have larger ones available? I'd rather not bother with an offsite rental company and delivery, but we've got 3 adults (1 of them rather ample :rotfl: ), and adult-sized 11yo, and 2 little ones. I don't think we're all going to fit in a standard cart!

Sorry only 4 seater rentals from The Fort.

Thanks. Does anyone have experience with any of the offsite rental places? The one I keep coming across is golfcartenterprises.com and their rates look pretty reasonable but they don't list their delivery charge.

We just rented from Kenny at Tee Time Golf Carts, he does not have a website yet, he comes recommended on this site, we rented for 10 days and the cost was $293.30. his # 1-407-276-0809. Great guy very easy to deal woth and delivers aly day of the week morning or afternoon. I beleive he only has 4 seaters though
Chris

So, does that mean only 4 people are allowed? Or, can we all squish in and make do?

I have seen squish and make do, I don't know how far Disney will let you do this.

I wouldn't try more than 10 at a time. :lmao:

We crammed 7 of us on one during a stay...not exactly a comfortable situation...but we only did it when going to a certain destination, not for loop-cruising....so it worked out fine. It was my wife and me...I was about 300 pounds at the time, 2 adult sized teens, a 10 year old, a 6 year old and a 12 month old...it got us where we needed to go and disney never once said anything about it.

Can you rent carts from outside the Campground? I know in the past they allowed that but thought I had heard that they stopped outside rental companies from dropping off?

We used them in December and were really happy with their service and prices. We have a cart reserved from them for Nov. already.

We rented a cart for 3 weeks, including windshield and delivery charge (for Mon-Fri delivery), for $500 (actually that rate was good for a month, but we were only there 3 weeks). Delivery charge was $70 of that.

They were really great to deal with and pretty much let us set the time for pickup/delivery. I'd definitely recommend them. :thumbsup2

Tappermon, the only thing that might have been restricted is that outside rental companies cannot deliver inside the campground... so they just unload in the overflow lot.

Thanks, Shan-man, you may have just saved me a bundle :cool1: I hope good Karma follows you wherever you go.

Good to hear! I e-mailed them for a price quote and an 8 night rental of a 6 seater cart complete with tax, windshield & delivery will only be about $30 more than renting the 4-seater from Disney for the same timeframe. Well worth it, IMO, not to have to cram 6 of us and a stroller into the smaller cart!

I just got off the phone with Tee Time Cart Rental and we are all set up for March 21-27. The total bill is $224.70. The lady I spoke with was very nice and told me Kenny will call me the day before to set up a drop off time. When I asked here if 2:00 on a Saturday would be too late, she said that he is very flexible with the schedule. She also said I will be very impressed with the quality of the cart that we will get. Last March we rented from Disney and the cart we had was fine but this is nice $ savings. Just a few extra bucks my DW can spend at World of Disney!

I would also want to know about it, thanks for the info coming here.

Have a nice day everyone. :)

I just went with Tee Time. For 5 days it was $170 something with everything. For 5 days. A lot better then Disney prices. He is very flexable on the drop off and pick up times. He says he even gives you a call the day before to see if everything is still on. Also said if you want the cart sooner then what you asked for. Not a problem...just call him. Sounds like some good service to me. An get the rain curtians just incase you can roll down.

Why would anybody rent from on site after knowing this? That's like why get direct TV service for the RV. when I was told if you have direct TV at home. Call and get the hurricane package for about $50. They send you a portable dish and you just take your box from the house.
