Another GC hotel view question

Hi! We just received our confirmation for our August reservation at the GC hotel. I asked for the theme park view and I know I was charged the highest points ( using my DVC points for the reservation). My reservation, however, calls it Upper Resort/Pool view. Does this sound correct to any one who recently booked a GC theme park view? I know there does not seem to be a separate pool view category for this hotel and since from the pictures I have seen, the pool appears in front of the Californian Adventure Park, I guess this is what they refer to it as. ?? Any comments would be greatly appreciated. THANKS!!

We are booked for our 3rd stay at the GC. It sounds like you will have a GREAT room location. You will be close to the elevators (lots of people complain if their walk is too far ) and you will be looking out across a really pretty courtyard area, across the pools, with a view toward the Paradise Pier area of California Adventure. This view is spectacular, especially at night, when all the rides are lit up. If you are high enough up, you may be able to see the bear at Grizzly River Run.
You will also be able to access the elevators that go directly down to Storyteller's (very close, anyway) and to the private entrance to CA. Very cool spot.
If you look at Disneyland.com and go to the resort section, choose Grand Californian, and then check the information for groups and travel agents, it will give you pictures and room layouts. More info there than on the "standard" site. If you have trouble, you can PM me, and I'll try to help more.
