Another fun thread! Character Reactions to your Wedding/Honeymoon

So after being stressed the last couple days about planning a big event when the economy is so bad, I really need a fun thread.

Character Experiences! Let's list memorable experiences that you had that was a result of talking about your wedding/ engagement/ disneymoon to a character.

I had this great experience when I was at Disney for my site visit (I swear I'll update my PJ and finished my site-visit TR soon! )

We were walking past the Fairytale garden next to the castle and I saw Lady Tremaine, the step mother from Cinderella, not exactly the character you scream over, but there was only 2 people in line so I made my DF go over with me. She was one of the best Characters I ever met! I loved her and I was also completely terrified

She started to ask me if I believe in Happily Ever After and I mentioned my wedding. She asked where my wedding was and I said the WP beach and LSS. She asked how come she didn't recieve an inivtation and I said because they haven't gone out yet. She then started to yell about how I must invite her and her daughters and started to spell out their names to me, all the while complaining about how there was a wedding in 'her' kingdom and she wasn't invited yet! She was really getting into it and DF said he was cracking up because I look so scared of her She told me that I had better be paying attention to the spelling because she would be very insulted if I spelled her daughters names wrong!

It's probably not as funny as it was in person, but I want to share and see if you guys would share some too. I know someone else said Peter Pan said something cute to them about growing up.

Anyone else have any Wedding related Character stories? Pictures would be most welcomed as well!

thats a cute story. I love when the characters play along.
Our's is nothing like yours.
The morning of our wedding I went to Chef Mickey's with my bridal party. All the characters were coming around table to table.
Mickey & Minnie finally made their way to our table and made all sorts of gestures at my ears. When I stood up to take a picture with them, they got to read my shirt and realized it was my wedding day. Their little gestures were so cute! He notioned all sorts of things to me! Soo cute! Asking me where it was.. so I pointed out the window. He did a little clap thing. so cute!
Right before he left he asked what time it was.. so I told him and reminded him not be late! His reaction was so cute!
It's like playing charades since they don't talk.. but whoever did Mickey that day did awesome.

awww... what a great idea for a thread! both stories are so great! i hope i get some great character reactions too! it's threads like this that make me so excited i'm able to have my wedding at the happiest place on earth!

that happened to me. DH and I were sitting watching the Christmas parade. A lot of characters acknowledged our ears/pins and congratulated us. Peter Pan ran up to us with a very sour look on his face and said "you guys grew up, ewww!" It was pretty cute.

I think the cutest story was Mickey was admiring my ring, and showed it to Minnie. Minnie got made at him, because she wanted want too. It was cute.

You story with Lady Tremaine is really cute.

Ours was during the Dreams Come True Parade at MK. The villians were going by and Cruella Deville pointed at us and made a heart with her fingers and kind of awwed at us, then cried a fake tear, threw it on the ground, and stomped on it! It really made our day!

Since I will become a "Step Mother" myself in December I would love to meet Lady Tremaine! We can compare notes My daughter is a smart girl though and says that I'm going to be the "Best Step Mother Ever"! (In context it was also after we found out that she was going to wear a "Bridesmaid" dress because she was to big for a "flower girl" or "Jr. Bridesmaid dress"! )

Not any really exciting stories, but the characters were great at noticing my ears and our pins then pointint out our rings to everyone. It was a lot of fun!
Chef Mickey's:

At the Disney Visa character greeting area they were really energetic when we talked about the wedding.

In AK, Donald mad me kiss his bill to make dh jealous. Dh actually has his arms folded pretending to be mad.


Minnie pretended to cry because she wanted a ring from Mickey. Mickey Kiss me on the cheek and Minnie pretended to be jealous and walked away with DH.

I think I would be terrified of Lady Tremaine too. Seriously, as a kid, I used to get scared and run away at the "scary parts" of Cinderell when she made an appearance. I think I would be tempted to run away if she approached me. But totally hilarious!!

When we met the step sisters they admired my ring and asked who my prince was. They also asked if Tim had a brother..we told them yeah an older brother and they freaked out lol..got it all on video.

We are cracking up here cause she ran up into the camera

Before we got married Pooh and Tigger did this. My mom told them I was getting married tomorrow.

here are other pictures..we got a lot of character reactions. And cast members. We made friends with Toni & Bill a married couple who work together. They are character handlers. Sonny who is another character handler who made our big character picture moment happen. We actually ran into Bill and Toni again in Oct and they remembered who we were. There are others too. They really made our honeymoon extra special.
