Hi Everyone,
I've been going to WDW since 1977 (honeymoon). I've planned more Disney vacations for family and friends than I can remember. Been a DVC member since year 1. But now, with the advent of FP+, I have to admit when I'm over my head. I have done several searches throughout this wonderful forum, which have provided substantial information. I'm posting this to make sure I'm on the right track since my upcoming Disney plan includes 5 first timers and I need to get this right. I just reread the "Split stay" section of the FAQ's and I think I get it, but need reassurance.
DVC room reservations: 1) single room (studio) 1 night-2 adults, 2 kids, check in Thurs check out Fri.
2) 1BR Villa- 7 nights - myself, plus 2 -check in Thurs check out following Thurs.
3) Grand Villa- 6 nights- all from #1 above and the plus 2 from # 2 above and 2 new people not really involved with FP+
If I understand the split stay rules about FP+ I should be able to make FP+ selections for all people, for the entire length of stay 60 days out from our Thursday arrival.
The 2 adults and 2 kids from # 1 have a 1 day reservation followed by a 6 day reservation in the GV.
The plus 2 from # 2 have a 1 day reservation followed by a 6 day reservation in the GV.
I have a single reservation for entire length of stay therefore, no issues.
Does my analysis make any sense and is my conclusion correct? If not, what do I have to do to be able to make FP+ selections for entire group for entire length of stay? Thanks.
