Another FOP question

I most likely won't get to ride FOP this visit. But, I saw they have the "ride vehicle" in front of the attraction. Is it just for looking at or trying out? My DH is very tall 6'5" and not overweight at all but I am wondering if it will be at all comfortable for him. Thought maybe he could sit on it and then hopefully another visit we might be able to ride -- if he thinks he can tolerate it.

It's been so long since we have been able to get back to WDW -- glad to see some names I recall still around the DIS boards.

If you want to ride it this trip and can't get a FP, you can get in line right before park closing.

I posted this on opening day, but I figure it will help some people here. I am 6'6" 315 pounds. Long legs, XXL shirt, 42 waist, size 13 shoe. I was able to ride FoP with no problems. It took me and a CM a while to figure out positioning on the test seat, but once I was inside, there was no issue at all. It was quite uncomfortable at first but once the ride starts you really do not even feel any sort of discomfort.

If you are interested in the attraction, get to AK 75-90 minutes before park opening or shortly before park closing. It's awesome!!
