So I’ve read the whole thread about rope drop and Genie +, so many of you have given tips about rides, but now I have a food question.

For a first visit that is probably early June and for only 2 days (Saturday and Sunday), what are some not to miss food recommendations?
We haven’t been to SWGE yet so probably will try Ronto Roasters at some point as well as hopefully get an Oga’s reservation, but that is all I really know.

Any recommendations for snacks, counter service or sit downs that need reservations would be greatly appreciated.
If we do go when I would like, we will need to make any reservations soon after the decision to go is made.

Thanks!

Plaza Inn Fried Chicken
Beignets - if they are available anywhere at that time
Jolly Holiday Bakery - Beef Birria Toasted Cheese & Raspberry Rose Mickey Macaroon
Bengal Barbecue - any skewer!
Corn Dog
Dole Whip

DCA
Cocina Cucamonga - QuesaBirria Tacos

DCA:

Birria Tacos at Cocina Cucamonga is a MUST TRY

Seasonal bread pudding at Pacific Wharf Cafe

Pixar Frosty Parfait at Adorable Snowman

Brunch at Lamplight Lounge

Pym's Cinna Pym French Toast

Pyms Chicken Sandwich

DL:
Ronto Wrap

Bengal Rice Plate

Pork Lumpia at Tropical Hideaway

Seasonal Fritters from Royal St Verandah

Plaza Inn Fried Chicken

Grilled cheese and Tomato Soup from Jolly Holiday

Lemon Tea Cake, Lemon Chiffon Pie, Chocolate Caramel Shortbread Tart (Jolly Holiday and other locations)--these are special 100 Year Celebration desserts and they are all VERY good

Hand pies at the candy shops (in both DCA and DL...I like the blueberry from Trolley Treats the best)

DTD/Hotels:
Napolini if you want pizza
GCH Craftsman Grill-Nachos or Steak Salad or Carnitas quesadilla
Hearthstone Lounge (an under-rated TS gem)

For strictly things you need a reservation for:

I like Carnation Cafe, Cafe Orleans, Lamplight Lounge and Carthay Circle
The rest (including Blue Bayou) are now skip for me, however, if it's your first time, you can consider Blue Bayou.

Oga's always feel so rushed and crowded. I would recommend Trader Sam's over Oga's at the DLH, it's crowded as well, but it's such a more fun atmosphere.

If I only had to choose one ADR, it would be tough but it would be between Lamplight Lounge and Cafe Orleans.

For quick service food, I can recommend the corn dogs and ronto roaster and bengal bbq. The PP have a lot of other great suggestions.

Tropical Hideaway is fun.

It's quick service, but I loved the drink I had at Docking Bay 7, it was a peach Arnold Palmer, but with a Star Wars name like Phattro. I still think about the Raspberry Dole Whip I had Tropical Hideaway. The churros were enjoyable (I had one in Pixar Pier) as were the Mickey beignets and Mint Julip from the stand in New Orleans Square.

Please don't waste one of your meals in a 2 day trip on Blue Bayou.
I agree, for the following reasons:
1) Limited menu options
2) Price to value is poor
3) the best thing about it is the view, and not all tables get the best view.
4) Quality of food is hit or (more often recently) miss

The Melioroon (sp?) juice from Ronto Roasters is also very good. However, they have begun putting WAY too much ice on it and it's only like 4oz of juice at this point.

It sounds great, but I'm not a big fan of pineapple. Do you actually taste the pineapple or is it more like some smoothies where it has pineapple, but you can't really taste it. If it helps, I'm a big fan of flavored Dole Whips, but not the plain/regular flavor.

I didn't even know there was pineapple juice in it. It tastes very berry forward to me.
