Another Emerald Club Question!

Hello All,

If I book a car for my wife and son under my emerald account, will my wife have a problem picking it up, seeing that I'm not with her?

Good question. I know that with the Emerald Club all drivers living at the same address can drive the car at no extra charge. Can you modify your reservation and put her name on it as well, under John and Jane Doe, maybe?

I believe the person whose name is on the reservation has to be there.

I found this on national...

Free (in the United States and Canada) – An Emerald Club members spouse, immediate family member, business partner, employer, or fellow associate who has an assigned corporate contract with National and drives the car for business purposes.
Immediate family is a Mother/Father, Son/Daughter, or Brother/Sister who has the same address on the drivers license as the Emerald Club member's. This includes a spouse regardless of whether he/she has the same last name, is a common law spouse or same gender domestic partner.


I think we will be ok, since our adresses are the same.

I would call and verify that you do not have to be present, you don't want your wife to get there and they refuse to give her a car. Yes, spouses are free as an additional driver, but I believe the cardholder has to be there as the primary driver. Why not get your wife an Emerald Club card and make a reservation in her name.

Thats a good point. I will probibly just make a new account (seeing that it's free )
