Hello!

We are going to be in Disney the Week of November 10th and planned to buy an Elsa dress once we were there (if possible) since nothing was to be found online. This morning, Disney Store finally had Elsa dresses but my daughter's size was out of stock. There are two versions of the dress - regular and deluxe at $49.95 & $99.95 respectively. I am just wondering if these same versions are available in the parks, and if so, are the prices the same? I wasn't sure if the Disney parks version of the dress would be different, if there would be different versions, and what the prices would be.

Thanks so much! :goodvibes

I just checked, and I didn't see any sizes being out of stock in either version. :confused3:

I know when I was there in August, Wondering Oaken's in DHS had the Disney Store dresses and they were $65.99 or $69.99. And I didn't look but I'm told that BBB and Sir Mickeys in MK have the Disney Parks version (maybe someone else can confirm). I agree with the PP that the Disney store version is beautiful in person!

The elsa park dresses are (or at least used to be) different. And they are shorter (tea length rather than almost floor length)

Here now. Disney Parks version is different than the store version. With taxes it's $75 (so maybe $69.95 before taxes?). You see lots of Park and Store versions here walking around. Both are lovely. Haven't seen the deluxe in person but looks like softer material. Anyway, there are tons of dresses in all the sizes here now. Bought ours a few days ago.

We bought an Elsa dress at World of Disney at the end of August. It was $64.95 before tax. I used my Disney Visa for a 10% discount. It's a beautiful dress but expensive. They only had it in a size small and I saw it no where else while in the parks. We just lucked out that it fit my 3 year old. If possible, I would buy it before going to the parks. You may not be able to find it at all or in your size. BBB only sells it if you book a package. You can't buy it separately.

The online version is much nicer and cheaper too. I do not think any size is sold out right now so maybe check again?

I just checked and no sizes sold out in the deluxe version but the less expensive version was sold out in size 3, 7/8, 9/10.

Personally, there are plenty of websites with Elsa dresses in stock like the halloween costume websites. I wouldn't wait until I got to a park and risk them being sold out or taking time to have to go from store to store to find one. I would order one online prior to the trip.

Party City has an Elsa dress online for $29.99 in size 3T-4T.

Thanks so much! I ended up getting a 7/8 online even though when I checked earlier they were out of stock. It will probably only fit her for a short while, but I didn't want to take my chances by waiting to get one in the parks... Thanks!

Target has quite a few available. If you go online, or to the target app, type in Elsa Dress and you'll get a few hits. If it's in stock in store, you might be able to do pick up in store. They have a deluxe version, which is only available online and absolutely beautiful.
Good luck!

Boy, that was fast. Because I checked just before I posted earlier and no sizes were showing as sold out.

Did anyone see the Elsa deluxe dress in stores yet that could give me a quick review?

The deluxe one is similar but a bit nicer. The biggest difference is the sleeves. They are sort of attached to the top layer of the back of the dress. This would create a nice effect, similar to the movie, when a child would lift their arms and perhaps make a slow turn? The fabric is a little fancier.

The regular Elsa dress is REALLY nice, this deluxe one is just a bit fancier. I would say, 25% fancier for twice the price? But worth it to many folks. It comes on a plush satin hanger.

Stores have lots of dresses, so if you live near one, you can try picking one up there.

the dress in Oaken's looked just like the Disney Store dress but more expensive, $65 vs. $50. The one in Sir Mickey's is different and the original Parks version. I prefer the Disney Store style though.

Finally saw the deluxe version on a little girl last night, and it's beautiful. I personally don't like the cape on the store version. Not sheer enough. But the difference may not be worth the price to most. But seriously, there are tons of dresses in the parks right now in all the sizes. Tons.

I saw the Deluxe version in person today at a local Disney Store. It's very elaborate. The cape and skirt are both several layers. It looks heavy, though.

They've shorted the cape on the regular store version from what the old one was. The CM at the store agreed with me that the original, floor length one was better, but, apparently, it was changed because kids tripped on it and ripped it (that happened to my DD's, but I was able to sew it back together with invisible thread and it was fine).

ETA: The version sold at JC Penney is lovely, also, and the cape is significantly more sheer than the official DS version.
