Another e-mail question

Can people send e-mails to you directly on the ship? I'm not sure how to check my e-mails from home (have earthlink.net) but my mom's best friend is a HUGE Mickey freak and wants a great souvenior but since I don't know what's available will need to e-mail her.

Can anyone help me with this, or if a recent cruiser and great ideas for the souvenior?

You can set up an account onboard the ship with their provider---but they charge you more for that (something like $4, I think). But I'd suggest opening a free account at home and using it. Hotmail.com and Yahoo.com are just 2 of the free sites you can sign up with. You can probably even check your Earthlink account, too. Once you sign onto the computer, just type in your email provider in the address line, then sign in and you're there!

As far as souvenirs, there are lots of things----shirts, antenna balls, spoons, thimbles, toys galour, ornaments, decks of cards, postcards, and lots more.

Go to www.earthlink.net and click on the link that says "Web Mail."

Enter your username and password, and it should get you into a web-based version of your mailbox. From there you can send and view email messages just as you do at home (presumedly through Outlook or some similar mail application.)

Try it before you leave and make sure you are comfortable. You should be able to access that web page from any Internet-connected computer, be it at a Library, work or even on a cruise ship.

sounds like it may be easier to just figure out something she'd like before you go. I always like a Christmas ornament. Beach bags or beach towels are also very nice to recieve from places you've been. There is a huge variety of gifts available. Does she collect pins? Plenty of those. They have charms, coffee mugs, thermo mugs, stationary, purses, jackets, tees, sweatshirts, figurines, posters, pictures, frames, photo albums, stuffed characters and more!
