I called to reserve (if available) a diver to surprise our 4 children for our upcoming trip in a month. Debbie was on vacation, and the girl that took our info told me she was new and hadn't done this before. I got concerned, and left a message for Debbie, and then called again today because I haven't heard anything. What should I do? I don't want to annoy her--I know she is busy. We also sent in pictures, which I later read on these boards that she prefers to receive 1 at a time. We sent them all at once. Thanks!

I'm sorry I don't have an answer, but I was wondering if you spoke with a hostess or a member of the management team? I have left 2 messages within 2 weeks and I have not had a return call. I'm in a panic myself trying to schedule a diver for a b-day. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

Debbie is really busy, and she calls when she can. I didn't know she liked to receive pictures one at a time. She never mentioned this to me when I booked a diver and menu. I sent all my pictures in one email. I would wait for her to get back to you. Give it at least a few more days, especially if you left a message on her voicemail and emailed the pics to her specific email. I know she can make those menus happens quickly, so that won't be a problem. It's just the availability for the diver.

I remember when we set it up last summer Debbi was on vacation pretty much the entire month of July. Luckily I must have gotten it set up before the end of june, but I remember people saying Debbi was out for the whole month. don't know if it will be like that again this year but just warning you. Last year there was another manager, Alicia who also set these types of things up. She was very nice, we met her at the restaurant. I don't know if she still works there but you could ask. She would at least know what she's talking about.

Thanks everyone--I heard from Debbie tonight via email, so I feel much better!

When you phone and get Debbi's answering machine, leave your ADR # and *your email address* (spelled out very clearly) as well as your phone number. I phoned on Thursday of last week, and heard back by email on Wednesday morning of this week. I sent her the pictures almost immediately, and I heard back from her the same day that she had received them (just a one-liner, but I at least I know she has them and they're okay).

I think email is probably much faster for her, since she (likely) has a form letter saved that she can just edit and send out, and she can do it in a minute or two whenever she has free time, rather than having to have a larger block of time available to explain and answer questions over the phone.

As for the pictures, I sent them all in one email, but I made sure the file sizes were all small. If you've got really large files, then I'm pretty sure her email system will bounce the email unless you send each picture separately.

The only time you send pictures one at a time is when the files are too large for Debbi's system to handle. An easy trick is to e-mail the pictures to yourself, in an e-mail setting, then they are the pefect size and you just have to forward them. Worked for me.:thumbsup2

I have left 4 messages for Debbie since May 12. (Waiting about 2 weeks in between each one) I have not gotten any response. I have left all the pertinent information in my messages. I also called last Thursday....nothing.

Keep calling to you get somebody to make sure everything is taking care of.

No, it's free (although I've read rumors that it may be discontinued in the near future)

You can get a personalized menu and possibly a diver holding up a sign at the Coral Reef.

You need to call the CR directly 407-560-6784 and ask for Debbi. If you are transferred to her voice mail make sure to leave your ADR #, phone #, and e-mail address along with what you are requesting. She usually calls back within days but sometimes longer. Happy planning.:thumbsup2

Hi! There is no extension for Debbi, just her direct line. I called her 2 weeks ago and left one message on her voicemail. It took her about 5 days to call me back. I was very surprised when she called. We're not going until December too. She told me she had availability for a diver the day of our reservation. I wonder if there is no diver available the day of your reservation. :confused3 Maybe she calls the people she can confirm a diver for first. I wish I could help. I know it must be frustrating for you. Good luck!:wizard:

Is the direct line just the main# to Coral Reef (407-560-6784)?
