Another Disney Visa Question

We signed up earlier this year. The sign up bonus & authorized user bonus both come in the form of regular gift cards. You won't get that redemption card until you actually redeem your points. So, we got the $200 and the $50 GC almost immediately after signing up for the card. We just requested our redemption card b/c we leave next week. It came in about 3 days.

Ah, so I get a Redemption Card before I get ready to go and use that in the Parks...got it !!!!! If you want to see what your balance is on the card, can they do that at the Parks when you use it????

You can just call visa I think. Also...if you want to add rewrds points you have accrued since you received the redemption card, you just call and they are instantly added. You use the, same redemption card for a year or two I believe. You just call when you want to add them on.

On every statement, it will go over your current points and how many you earned for this cycle (and it breaks it out in the 1% vs 2% categories), then gives you a new total. Once you get closer to your trip, order your redemption card. And, then yes - if you earn more points after you get your card, you can call and they'll just add it right to your card.

I have had people at the parks tell me the balance on the card. They usually can do that right there.

Had the pin trader at epcot tell me, and even had DCL tell me once.

Not to thread jack but can anyone tell me when the annual fee will actually hit? I signed up and my first statement has now arrived. Mine was a $200 statement credit for signing up, and it is on my statement. I'm just wondering when the annual fee will hit. Thanks!

The official card website should have a calculator on it to help find out if your typical financial spending would make the Premier card worth the $50 annual fee. I have the regular card and it suits me fine to save up for 'extras' on a trip. A souvenir or TS meal, etc.

Disney Visa is offering a $200.00 gift card for new members and another $50.00 gift card for adding an authorized user. My husband and I are considering getting one and saving up the rewards for a big Disney world trip we are taking December 2017.

Should we get the standard card with no annual fee and 1% back on everything or the premier card with a 49.00 annual fee but 2% back on gas, grocery, restaurants, and Disney purchases (1% on everything else?)

We would be using the card for our everyday things (paying it off every month.) We also would use it to book 2 different Disney trips in the next 18 months.

What do you think? Is the premier worth the fee or should we go with the standard card?
If I am paying an annual fee, I want better rewards than that. We have Cap 1 venture (for travel) and standard disney.
