Another Disney Visa Question

We are going to WDW in January 2009. How far in advance should I switch our points over from the credit card to the gift card? I know the gift cards do expire, but have never transferred them before. Thanks for any help!

when you transfer it is instant- once you have the card. My bill closed whileI was at WDW, I called and they did it over the phone! But you have to have the card first. I had the card a couple months before...

You can also transfer the points online. I am going in December and I am going to order my card in October (want to make sure I get it in time) then I going to transfer my points the week before I go.

I have done this 3 times in the past and it has always worked no problem.
