Another Disney Transport Question

As I will not be driving I will be using the disney buses and ease of use is a big thing for me. I will either be staying at Wilderness Lodge, Boardwalk Inn or Yacht Club. Out of these resorts which one has the best bus service and least amount of stops.

Don't know about WL but YC, BC and BW often share a bus and sometimes they share with Swan/Dolphin so there could be 5 resorts on one bus. The order is Swan, Dolphin Y&B the BW.

I stayed at the Swan last year and the only resort stops the bus made were Swan, Dolphin and Boardwalk, never Yacht and Beach.

The real question is what parks will you be going to the most. If MK is your main choice then WL makes sense. If you plan more time in Epcot and the Studios then you want either the Boardwalk or Yacht Club. The great thing about staying in the Epcot resort area is you can easily walk to Epcot and either walk or take the Friendship boat to the Studios. The Friendship boats travel throughout the day between Epcot and the Studios stopping at the Boardwalk, Beach/Yacth clubs and Swan/Dolphin. Slow but relaxing ride. Most people get to the Studios faster by walking. Since Epcot is only a 5-10 minute walk you will always beat the boat by walking.

I can answer your WL ???.

WL shares buses with *either* GF or FW, depending on time of day & destination. WL is always the 1st stop, so you'll be guarenteed a seat. We had wonderful transportation during our stay. Never a long wait for a bus or a boat.

To get to MK, you'll take the boat. It goes WL/FW/MK (any order) and is maybe a 15 minute ride. There is also a small boat (blue launch) which goes WL/FW/CR (any order, generally 2 boats working 1 going each direction). It is less than a 5 minute ride from WL to either CR or FW, making it very easy to resturant "hop".

Thank you all for your replies. I like the idea of an Epcot resort because I can walk to Epcot/MGM but I just love the theming of Wilderness Lodge - I think I'm going to go to Wilderness Lodge.

You will love the lodge! Please check out the WL, faq, part 4 thread over on the resorts board. The first page or two will give you all the info you need to know abt the lodge!

Your best bet is to choose a resort based upon its theming and amenities... and not transportation. We work hard to get you to where you are going in a safe and efficient manner.

Our transportation is dynamic, and theme park based... so on a whole, no one resort will have consistantly better or worse transportation than another. Any of the rare glitches that one might encounter are typically a fluke occurance, and not a respresentation of things as a whole
