You're pretty close to me in Cicero, IN.

The store at Concord Mills in Concord, NC is listed as staying.![]()
closing all the stores in KS, MO....
Yes, it's on the list of stores that will remain open.![]()
Looks like my store in NH is going, but I just called and the CM who answered the phone said they aren't closing. Have they been told to say this or is there hope? I haven't been there in a while, so I don't know if they are having a sale.
That is not correct. I work at one of the Kansas City area stores and there are 10 or 11 stores in our district (most of KS and western MO), and out of those only 2, maybe 3, are closing.
I think a lot of what is out there is just speculation and we'll just have to wait and see. Even the stores themselves do not know for certain if they are staying open, or exactly what is happening with the changeover.
Good to know!!
Please let Independence,MO be on the list of stayers. We all know Overland Park will stay open (Oak Park Mall is not a Simon), but I don't want to drive there..
Disney has never been very forthcoming with information for it's employees. Plus there are always the ones in denial. When my husband worked for the company, they were not allowed to tell anyone that they were being sold to TCP.
That's right. There is an 800 number we are supposed to give out if guests have any questions. None of ours want the # though. We are crossing our fingers here too. All but one store in our district is on the "closing" list. I really don't want to drive to Canton (1hr 30 min) or Toledo (2hr 30 min) for shopping.
Went over to the Disney Outlet Store about 45 minutes from here on Sunday- just to do a little shopping. Turns out, they're closing this week! They were down to just a couple of racks of stuff- it sucks! We bought a TON of stuff- original final total was nearly $200.00- then he put in the 90% discount and we only paid about $20. That was cool- but the whole thing still sucks.
Mall of GA was on the chopping block according to the CM that I spoke to at the Gwinnett store a couple of weeks ago. They were actually thinking of closing Gwinnett too, but that would be a bad move because I am sorry, I am not going to Discover Mills. That mall is always dead and the prices on most of the merchandise is overprised for what is billed as being more of an Outlet mall.
I have my fingers crossed that Gwinnett Place keeps their TDS!
I'll wait and see what the final list says before getting too bent out of shape. Like others have said....nothing is legally binding yet so we might be getting our knickers in a twist over nothing yet. I've also been surprised at how many people on this board shop at "my" Disney Store in Lafayette, Indiana! It's a small world! Keeping my fingers crossed we get to keep our store!
She may be referring to the Disney Character Warehouse in Destin, FL. Check out this link:Where did you go? We were in Pensacola for Spring Break, and we went to Foley's outlet mall on Wedneday (the 9th). The store was closed, and they were putting in a Coach outlet.....
Did you go to Foley? That's the only outlet around there that I know of.![]()

I hope Mall of GA stays open. That is the closest to my house, and it's a pain dealing with traffic around the Gwinnett Mall area. I would think the Gwinnett Mall store doesn't do as well, because every time I go to it it's pretty dead, and the Mall of GA store is always busy. I agree about the Discover Mills store, it's just the clearance stuff moved from the regular stores and they try to sell it at regular price again.

I'm also hoping the Independence Center one stays open. I would hate to have to drive over to Oak Park to shop![]()
Hmmm...that would make MORE sense, seeing how those character warehouses come and go all the time. Thanks...I had no idea there was one of those in Destin.
My MIL lives about 30 min. from Destin....If I had only known....![]()
