HaPpY Friday Everyone! :grouphug:

I've always been at disneyland with children so we've usually gone back to the room before too late.

For our trip in December we will be arriving late afternoon, so I have it planned to go to the park about 5 and stay late.

My question is... are the characters out at Night? Any certain ones at any certain places? :wizard:

Also which is the best part of the park to go to at night with a 6 year old and twin 4 year olds ( first time for them).

Thanks for helping me. I hope that each of You have a wonderful weekend!:goodvibes

I've often seen Mickey and Minnie on Main Street in Town Square after dark. You can also see them back in ToonTown until it closes.

With the ages of your children, I'd recommend Fantasyland. It is really beautiful at night. The only trick may be that it's really crowded. The best time to tour Fantasyland is either first thing in the morning or in the last hour of the evening when the park closes at midnight since you can walk on to most attractions. Midnight may be tough with the little ones though.

Sleepless Knight..You're so sweet! The girl who gets to marry you will not only gain a thoughtful husband but a great family to go to Disneyland with.:goodvibes

Thanks for helping me out with the information you provided.

I appreciate your time.

Have a wonderful weekendprincess:

Thank you very much for your kind words.

You didn't mention if your children are all boys, all girls, or both, so I'll throw this in there. The Princess Fantasy Faire closes at 6:00pm(it's over by Small World). There are 3 princesses/female heroines in there with an occasional appearance by a prince as well. They rotate every so often, so you literally do not know who you're going to see, and you may find that a character leaves right before your turn. They also do not allow you to wait to see a certain character. A CM told me that Snow White, Cinderella, and Sleeping Beauty usually make the final appearance of the day. The PFF is a nice way to meet random princesses, but if your children want to see a certain one, it may not work so well. There's also story time where a random princess comes out and tells her story and a little ceremony where girls become princesses, boys become princes, and everybody dances around a maypole.

The 6 year old may enjoy the Jedi Training Academy, though I would do it during the day. As much as I would like to fight Darth Vader or Darth Maul, I guess I'll just have to fight Maleficent. There are a lot of experts on how to get your child chosen for JTA here on the DIS if that's of interest to you.

Have fun meeting the characters. It can be a whole lot of fun especially when you understand and are familiar with the character and the movie he or she is in.

Oooohh i Love Fantasy Land.:goodvibes

We were there in feb. of this year and had a happy time. It was really laid relaxed and we often went back to the hotel after the parade.. so we haven't really seen the park at night.

I can't wait to see the castle at night with all the christmas lights.:santa:

What I love about Disneyland versus Disney World ( which we've been to many times)... is that Disneyland is not toooOOOoooo Big..it's just the right size.:wizard:
