When I call wdw-dine to make my dinner reservations I usually am talking to someone who may not actually be at disneyworld right? And if I want to request specific things like sitting near the windows or eating dinner during a fireworks show, I can tell them.. but is it ok to call the restaurant itself as it's getting closer to the day to *make sure* things will go smoothly?

I just have read a lot of reviews where people say they were supposed to get into dinner at a certain time and ended up having to wait forever or were supposed to be seated by the windows and didn't etc....

I know disney is trying to please thousands and thousands of people all at once... but for my wedding reception dinner (and I"m not renting out a room, we're going to be eating with everyone else) I'd really like to make sure everything goes perfectly.

am I crazy? am I worrying too much? :scared: will they spit in my food if I call the restaurant directly and bug them? lol

i dont think your crazy for wanting to call & make sure they are doing what you "reserved" for in advance!
Personally I think its better to do it before your in front of them with a large party & you in your gown.
I would document the day, time, phone# & person you talked too & what was discussed.
I would call about 1mth before, then 1 week before & then the day you get down there.
You can NEVER be to prepared!!
Dont feel you are bugging them....thats what they are there for.

Havent done this in years, but can you involve your coodinator??

Good luck & happy planning:cutie:

I'm not sure, but I think you can always request a table and they will mark it down, but they cannot guarantee that you will get that table (if that makes sense).

I would also try to mention in your phone call that you will be getting married that day and this will be for your reception. Hopefully, that will increase the chances of getting what you want! :thumbsup2
