First timers at the poly in July ! ( so excited)

We are doing the dining plan

Since its our first time at poly I'm considering booking the spirit of aloha

Traveling with DH and 5yo DD and 7 to DS
Is it considered Buffett and the 2 meal credits per can include QS credits?

How's the show?

If you have the Disney dining plan w 1 ts 1 qs per night pp, then you will need to use 2 ts credits pp

The show is outdoors. In July it can be brutally hot and might rain. The show is a skip for me but does have its fans

The hoop dee doo review show at fort wilderness is awesome. It too is 2 credits, food is served family style and the show is indoors w ac and corny and funny and an awesome time

Hmm
Good point about the weather
Since this is our first time I'm trying to maximize our experience and also take advantage of the proximity to MK
Since we are doing a split stay
Tues- Friday at the poly
Then Friday to Friday off site

I think you might want to do a little reading on the dining plan. Please go to Disney's site and do some thorough studying of the plan and how it works.

You have 3 nights at the Poly, so you only have 3 TS, 3 QS and 6 snacks per person to use in those 4 days. If you do any of the meals that require 2 TS credits, that only leaves you 1 other TS credit.

Regarding snacks on the dining plan. Can you use 1 credit at Ghirardelli Soda Fountain and Chocolate Shop for a banana split or any of their other items?
It shows this as a snack on the Disney site but looks a bit too good to be true. I'm new to using the Dining plan. Thanks.

If I was trying to maximize my dining experience on the dining plan, I would not use any of the credits for signature dining because you only have 3 TS and 3 CS credits. If I was going to choose a signature meal it woudl be either Narcoossees at the Grand, or California Grill at the Contemporary.

You do not mention the parks you are visiting while you are at the Poly, and if we knew we might be able to share our favorite restaurants in the area that are also a good value on the plan.

You have 6 snacks apiece, and yes, I believe that the Sundae is included. I would google disney food blog and watch some of the snack videos. They tell you a lot about snack value and where to get them.

Where on Disney's site do you see this as a snack credit item? I'm fairly certain that the ONLY things you can get with a snack credit at Ghiradelli are some of the drinks, the packaged chocolates, and MAYBE one scoop of ice cream. I've never seen any of the sundaes or specialty items for a snack credit there.

I actually saw Ghirardelli when looking for places included in the Dining Plan. It was designated "Snacks". It didn't show which specific items that qualified for a snack credit it just showed the menu. Thanks,

That just means they don't serve a full meal there; it does NOT mean you can use your snack credits on all the items they have. You need to see a purple snack logo next to an item on the menu board once you get there. allearsnet.com has that logo on their menus if you want to check there.
