Another dining plan question

Hello

Sorry if this has been covered elsewhere.

I've booked my son's honeymoon at Animal Kingdom Lodge using my DVC points and was hoping to add the dining plan when it became available to DVCer's. However MS tells me that it is only available when staying at DVC resorts. Is this correct and if so is there anything I can do.

It is correct. The Dining Plan is only available to DVC members if they are staying on points at one of the WDW DVC resorts.

To add the Dining Plan at a non-DVC WDW resort, you would have to book through CRO/WDWTC and pay cash. In addition, you would have to follow the CRO/WDWTC rules - add the DP to a room & ticket package and IIRC, your stay would have to be for a minimum of 3 nights.

Sorry - nothing you can do to add the DP to a points stay at the AKL.
