Another dining package question

My situation is a little different than the other poster, sorry if this is a duplicate!

We'll be there Sat-Tues, so it looks like it would be $64.97 for a 2-day "Fun, Food, and Drink Combo Upgrade" for each adult, and $41.48 for my DS. We eat all our meals at Disney on property - I imagine we'll do the same at US. I'm getting the superbowl package discount and this is the price that's coming up. There's also the option to purchase a Meal Deal with about a million different options, including one with a "CityWalk Meal". Can someone clue me in on the differences? I imagine we'll eat a semi-light breakfast, typical counter service for lunch, and a nice dinner out each night. Tues night we will be at Disney though, so it'll just be 4 breakfasts, 4 lunches, and 3 dinners. Also, the character dining is $21.12 - is that a good deal? Is it worth it? I think DS (4 at time of travel) would probably enjoy it. Any advice would be great. TIA!

you can a good breakfast at the side window at Pastamore in city walk.
less than $5....

tables are right near by it for you to sit and eat.

cinnabon another light breakfast for your group if that is the type of food you desire.

you can do an early breakfast before the park opens in the morning then.

or you could grab something in Port of Entry for breakfast once the park opens.
