I am still thinking about how to go about meals for our January trip. I have some ADR's in place, but I already think I'm going to have to cancel two.

Our travel party is myself, DH, and three 19 year old's. At first I was planning as if we'd all eat toghether and now I see how ridiculous that is:rotfl: :rotfl:

The kids will sleep late and be out on their own most of the time. My DH and I are going renewing our vows for our 25th anniversary and then we are celebrating with the kids at Yachtsman Steakhouse for dinner one night.

Our first day there we plan to go to MK, so I made dinner ressie's for all of us at Liberty Tree Tavern, then we should be able to catch Wishes, and plan to stay in the park til it closes at 11pm. (scheduled for an EMH night).

Another meal all together will be lunch at Tusker House in AKP the day we do that park.

So....I was thinking of doing the basic DDP for the meals in which we do NOT do together, and using DDE (I'm an AP holder) for the meals we do have together.

Does this make sense? Any ideas on how to estimate if this is the best savings? :confused3 :confused3
I don't think we'll be eating $1800 worth of food, so the Deluxe DDP seems to be too much money AND too much food. The basic never seems offer enough TS meals, but is reasonably priced at just about $1000 for the five of us for 5 nights. The DDE is giving us the 20% discount.....I'm sooo confused:eek:

Any thoughts or ideas on how best to work this? TIA
