Another daft DME question!

Sorry to keep labouring this point!
I have booked DME online but did not have my 12 digit ref no (cheers Virgin!). I have had the confimration email that they have received my request but nothing else-is that all that comes or should I get a further email to confirm details-I have a terrible fear of arriving at the DME desk and them saying "Nope, nothing for you!" :sad:
we do not go for 8 months if that makes a difference...
 
Yes you will get another confirmation email from Disney. It takes about 2-3 days to arrive. I booked a trip one week from my arrival and Disney did not have time to mail the information packet to me so I just went to the DME desk told them who I was and they gave me the paper I needed to board the bus and off I went.
 
We booked a package with Disney and never received any confirmation for DME when we have booked before we have had an e ticket type page in our Mickey mail. Apparently as long as you have confirmation of your hotel or in their hotel reservation system for that day it doesn't matter about having any DME booking x
 
Well its been a week since i booked it and not heard anything so i guess they don't like the fact I have not got my 12 digit ref no. I will wait until I get it from Virgin and then try again-cheers everyone.:thumbsup2

I booked mine without the 12 digit number and had no problems. They will search your name/arrival date and hotel.

I emailed the virgin Facebook team for the 12 digit number and got it without any problems :)
 
The confirmation email, together with proof of your room reservation which they will look up on the spot, is good and sufficient to let you on Magical Express at the airport. For those who are skeptical, ask for and write down on the back of an envelope the name and city of the DME phone reservationist you talk to as an additional piece of evidence of reservation.

i didnt have a 12 digit number when i booked either , i had the original email that they recieved my request and then 5 days later another email saying my booking was confirmed there was no magic express booking number just directions when arriving in the airport aswell as the original email attached with flight number etc,

however when i log in to my disney and view my booking it says no ground transportation booked

Mine said the same! I wouldn't worry I think Disney systems just do not match up!
