I have mentioned Thumper on this board a few times since May (yes! only a few!!!!
) and I thought I'd include her latest adventure.
I have mentioned how curious she is and her initial reaction to the Christmas tree. She was very relaxed with the tree in the house and had adjusted to the decorations nicely (only has knocked off a half dozen balls!!) The other day, I got a new tree skirt (my old one got ruined last year due to a very sappy tree!!). I carefully placed the skirt under the tree so as not to interfere with the train set my son had put up around the base of the tree. Thumper came out for her nightly romp around the living room and immediately noticed the new red skirt!!!
She approached the tree slowly and made a couple passes by it until she got brave enough to stop....and make a sudden leap onto the skirt!! The impact of her landing made the skirt shift, causing her to fall to her side. She paniced and started to kick with her back feet. This fast and furious kicking pushed the skirt up, piling on top of her!!
She really got upset then and was kicking and spinning on the floor like a top winding down. Her legs kicked the train set, causing pieces of track and train to land everywhere!! The living room resembled a train wreck! I quickly untangled her from the mess she created and she hopped away.....NEVER to hop on that skirt again!!!
Can't wait to see what she does with the presents under there!!!
