hi all im ready to buy my first pair sooo excited -- i see alot of u buy the beach type but im leaning toward the aspen because they don't have the holes -- are the aspen ones good? also i wear a 91/2 -- and im not sure what size to get?? 9 or 10 do they run big or small? thanks a million!

You're in luck!! I have owned Crocs since they were practically 1st invented and I wear a 9 1/2 too.

I will tell you, I like the ones with the holes so the air can circulate around my feet, but sometimes the others are nice as well.

As far as sizing, Houston, there is a small problem. Here goes.

The regular Crocs (almost all types made until 2005) come in whole "double" sizes. What I mean is like 6-7, 8-9, 10-11, etc. They always recommend in you are a half size to go bigger.

Well, the next size for a 9 1/2 is 10-11...very roomy. I still wear mine and they're fine, but I prefer the whole size 10 better.

There are certain styles that you can buy a whole size 10. The most recent pair I bought is a "loafer" type with a partial leather upper and laces. These fit me the best, but they cost over $70 :rolleyes1

I recommend them highly, but take a lot of time to decide which size fits your foot best. I even tried all the mens sizes and the women's 10-11 fit me the best. Good luck!

I recently bought the Cayman (similar to the Beach but better for narrow feet) and discovered 2 things. First, they come in real whole sizes. Second, they fit differently depending on where they are made. They are made in (I think) 4 places: USA, Boulder, Mexico, China. My store only had USA, Boulder and Mexico, but each 8 fit a little differently. I ended up with the USA pair.
In the store, they fit great as long as I flipped up the strap. With the strap behind my heel, my toes scraped against the fronts in a most unpleasant manner. I had read several reccomendations to put them in the dryer for a few minutes to help them strech and mold to my feet. Dang if didn't work like a charm! I shouldn't be surprised, my fellow DISers would never lead us astray.

I have the Aspens and the Caymens...like the beach. I live in Ohio and got the Aspens for the winter and the Caymens for WDW and summer. The Aspens are very warm with socks. If I wear them in the house my feet do sweat. The Caymens were very airy and I felt such a difference because the air flows through them. They are both very comfy! As for size, I am a 9.5 or 10. I got an 11 for the Aspens so that I would have plenty of sock room. I got a 10 in the caymen to wear without sock. I also have the Nile....but haven't had a chance to wear them yet...but I leave in a week!

I have a pair of beach crocs and love them! They are great becuase I live in GA where it is hot and humid basically year round.

You really need holes in Crocs for ventilation! My feet sweat heavily in the Highlands (same basic design as Aspen). I compromised for the winter...I didn't want all those holes, but did need a little ventilation, so I got the Professionals (used to be Metros), which only have holes on the sides, not the tops. Just right with socks in winter! But avoid the deep snow and puddles.

Where can you buy crocs? Do they have a website?

Yep...www.crocs.com

It's St Paddys Day and I have on my bright lime green Beaches. The best fitting ones I have found to date, are the pair of Beaches that were made in Italy!!! Go figure.

You can also buy them at www.zappos.com. I ordered some Caymens a few weeks ago -- I wear a 9 or 9 1/2, ordered the 10s, returned them (very easy process and free return shipping), ordered the 9s, and they were fine once I stretched out the strap.

I am sporting a new pair of Aspens now, they feel great. Yep, the dogs are sweating. Unpleasant.
Gee, when I tried them on they fit like a dream & are so comfy. This with fallen arches & super WIDE feet.
There is one major drawback with my Aspens--the dreaded shoe farts! :p
I am a victim of foot flatulence! :scared1:
Yep, when I walk it sounds just like 2 ducks are following close behind!

:donald: :duck:
