another code question - rates/tickets

sorry for all these code questions!!

we have our package booked - but i'm trying to help my parents.

They want to stay at Poly (where we are), can anyone share what last year value season rates for garden view in December was?

Also, in order to get these codes, if I understand right, you book a room-only ressie with either CRO or DU. If you do a package to get LOS tickets, then codes won't apply?

Which tickets do you buy then? Just on-line??

thanks so much, I'm sure this is obvious to alot of you, but our family has only gone once before and both trips we have used TA and never had codes!

Normally I would say go to Deb's site: http://www.wdwig.com/faq_hot.htm click on the hotel you want , but I did not see last years rates there for the Poly, maybe I missed it.

so best bet is to book what you what through DU and pray for good codes to come out, and that they'll get the code applied before they are sold out ?!?

what I meant to ask the first post it - would anyone share with me what they paid for Poly value season in Dec 2002 with codes?? thanks

According to mousesavers.com there are also discounts on packages. What you might want to do is print out the info and bring it to your travel agent. It's in the walt disney world resorts discount section. If you can't find it, feel free to email or PM me. I don't think we're supposed to post direct links.

PS -- When in december? The rates were really good before Christmas. I think if you checked in by around the 23rd.

I think that the best thing is to book room only for them with Dreams. They will watch the prices for you so you don't have to worry. You can add the passes before you go, or at check in, or get park hoppers. If specials for packages come out, you can always switch to one, but it's harder to switch from a package to room only.

Gillian this posting link thing seems to be becoming a hot topic around here! And because of this I PM'd a Mod. today regarding this along with posting codes & giving credit for where info comes from. I was informed that while it is not necessary, it is ok to post a link.

My understanding is that this site should be the first referred(& rightly so! ), & if the info cannot be found, then another site can be referred. The only other thing that cannot be posted are the postcard codes, or anything that is not meant for the general public.
