We have been lucky enough to secure a reservation for lunch through a business connection of my DH. We have received the confirmation and are aware of the cost of the luncheon. My question is whether or not we will be able to purchase any of the Club 33 merchandise offered for sale or are those items reserved strictly for purchase by the members?
This lunch is a surprise birthday gift for my daughter and I would like to purchase a memento of the visit if I am able to do so. Thank you in advance for your replies.

You will be able to purchase the merchandise. It is available to anyone dining there regardless of you membership status.

Thank you Melissa for the quick reply. Any idea of how much I should budget for a nice memento?

You can purchase most of the items in the showcase. There are a few items limited to members only. Depending on what you want, figure $25-80. There are pins and ball caps in the lower range, shirts and robes in the upper range.

Perfect answer.

Also, I noticed that the member ONLY items were well marked. So look at the tags before looking at the items, so you don't fall in love with something you can't have.

Congrats on getting a reservation and have an amazing time! What a wonderful birthday surprise for your daughter!

My mom surprised me with the same thing! We don't get to go until next year for my mom's 30th at work. Your daughter will love it!

To add to my answer, the cabinet is located just outside the restrooms. If you are wanting something, go to the cabinet, and someone will come to assist you, usually in just a few minutes. A lot of people forget to stop and look on their way out.

Oh you are so lucky, and what a great birthday for your daughter.
I was at DL in August with my son who had just been discharged fro the Marines. I flew to CA to help him drive his car and stuff home and he knows how crazy I am about Disney and he brought me to DL for the day. I tried so hard to get someone to invite me to club 33, I asked every Disney "nut" I know and no one was a member.
Now my friend is bringing me for my 58th (really 8 since I started counting again after my cancer) and again I tried everyone but no luck. It is a once in a lifetime event and if it was me I would buy everything I possibly could, so bring a big wallet...

On one visit, we were talking about what we wanted to get while sitting at our table and our server apparently told the hostess. The hostess came over to our table and asked if she could get anything for us out of the cabinet, which was fantastic because she took our shopping order (we had already checked it out and knew what we wanted), brought our items to the table and we paid up then and there. Sometimes you can wait a long time for someone to help you out at the cabinet, so you might check it out when you first get there and then see if you can buy it while you're enjoying your drink or figuring out what to order from the menu!

I wore my Club 33 ears all over DLR and enjoyed that very much, but now they just sit in a special spot in my display cabinet. On the last trip I bought a really pretty charm bracelet that has a silver disk with 33 on it and I love it because I can wear it whether I'm at DLR or not! It wasn't a bad price--can't remember now how much, but something like $35. I have a ball cap that's fun and a couple of pins. I'd love to have the gold women's ring with '33' on it but I never got past the price tag :scared1: so I'm not even sure it's available to a non-member like me.

Your right, that is a member only item. I am still trying to decide if I want the champange glasses!

Oh, I love the champagne glasses! Actually, I love it all :rotfl: except for the polo shirt. I'm not a fan of those and would prefer a t-shirt or better yet, a sweatshirt. I know, I know, not as tasteful but is it really any worse than a golf towel ? :lmao:

Malcon10t, you should get the glasses AND the ring. In fact, get several so you could use them for napkin rings when serving champagne :rolleyes1

It really was a a fluke that we were able to get in to Club 33. My DH's company holds an auction every year for the United Way. This year one of the prizes was a private tour of Pixar Studios which my DH bid on and won. After the auction, the gentleman who donated the tour congratulated my DH on the win and proceeded to talk "Disney" with him. He mentioned that he had recently been to DLR and dined at Club 33. My DH told him that it has been my DD dream to dine there and his friend offered to try and get us a reservation through his contacts at Disney.
With that offer in mind, we decided to add a stop to DLR after our visit to San Francisco and Pixar. My DD has no idea that we have been able to get into Club 33 and I have told her we are dining at Blue Bayou for her birthday. I can't wait to see her face when we ring the doorbell and we are admitted into her "dream".

OMG I would be like this...... :scared1: even for the Pixar tour! LOL I tried to get a job there when I was out of work for a while but they never had anything come up I was qualified for. I check occasionally tho, I would be thrilled to work there! :)
