No file transfer will take place. This is exactly why no one can make an ADR after February 22nd. They don't want any more ADR'S in the old system. When the booking window reopens all new ADR's will be in the new system. Both the old & new systems will be used until all ADR's have expired in the old system. Make sense?

I am going 3/1-3/7, and what worries me is that at the end of November, I'll be competing for server access with everyone going from 2/23 through the following 180 days. I think they should make some sort of priority access / accomodation for those of us who fall into the block-out period. I don't know how they would do it though.

I totally agree. We're planning our first trip (and that is alittle overwhelming already) and now I'm getting nervous. Hopefully everything will work out well.

I called and spoke to two different dining CM's this morning; one said you can call on 8/31 to make ADRs through 2/22/09; I called back just for heck of it (but also to confirm they open at 7am on Sundays) and got another CM who said - "you have to call back in October". After asking her politely to double check, she put me on hold, then came back on the line and said yes, I can call on 8/31 @ 7am, that they had been going through changes with their dates but that she could confirm ADRs can be booked through 2/22/09 starting Sunday.
I'd rather sleep in on Sunday morning; but I'll be up instead at 7am making ADRs for part of our 2/19-2/28/09 trip!

Thank-you so much for this information! We leave February 13th and were all set to delay our reservations for another month or two, but we got through this morning. We got everything we wanted including BBB! Thanks you again. this saved us a lot of stress!

Thank you for the update. I've got my pen and paper out and I'm going to try to come up with a quick plan so I can call tomorrow. I've just got to get my brain thinking this morning about were we want to eat.

They moved it up a day, you can make your ADR's through February 22nd starting TODAY, SATURDAY!! Hurry, call now!

See - this is why I love the dis. I just hung up, making my reservations for Jan 26 and 27 - CP, HDD, and others. The CM was confused at first (I assured her she could take them now) and then thrilled to be able to book ADRs with lots of time options. She said she usually talks to people who are coming in a week.

If I hadn't have known that the reservation window had opened up today, I know I would have had a heck of a time trying to get reservations for our party of 8. As it was, it was really painless. I am sure that you'll get what your looking for. I was just going to mention (after reading your first paragraph) that you're just competing with Dis'ers who happened to be online today - so a really small percentage of travelers to Disney. Those poor folks who don't research online will be up a creek.

Thank you, DD. I made all our ADRs - with the exception of the pesky T-Rex we want to try - this morning. I didn't have any difficult-to-obtain ADRs ... if it weren't just me and a 5-year-old, I would have tried for Le Cellier just because I felt like we had a shot but I kept it to places he likes.
