I will be solo in the parks in December ( again ) Because I will be solo, it is important to me to be in contact with home. Of course, I will be bringing my cell phone charger. What if my cell phone battery completely dies while at WDW ? Is there a place on Disney property that I can buy another cell phone battery ? Do you think I should pack a spare battery ?

Thanks So Much !

If you haven't had any problems with your cell phone battery holding a charge then I wouldn't buy another battery. If you put your phone on the charger when you go back to the room at night you should be good to go the next day. Unless you plan on doing an awful lot of talking while you are walking through the park save your money.

Yes, there are places within walking distance where you can buy a cellphone battery, but if you're really worried that yours will completely die, it's best to bring a spare, since you can't always be certain that the battery you need will be the one they sell (there are so many different types of phones these days!). But truly, unless your phone is prone to having batteries die, or if you're going to be at WDW for several weeks and expect quite a lot of cellphone useage, I doubt that you'll need to worry about it during a normal vacation. And ... well ... if the worst case scenario happened and your phone died and you had no spare battery, there ARE pay phones and other types of phones at WDW you could use in a pinch.

On property?

...not that I can think of. Your best bet may be one of those "emergency cell phone chargers" to carry with you. There are some that are a stand-alone one time use unit, and others that use AAA batteries. The review I read ( on a product called Cell Boost ) said to average an extra 60 minutes of talk time after charging a phone from completely dead.

I havent used one myself - im just tossing an option out there. That should be enough time to get you to your room and plug it in if nessisary.

You should be ok. Usually my phone will hold a battery at least the whole day. Just charge it every night.

If it is questionable, Claudia, get a new one before you leave. An overnight charge should last you well through a day of standby and an hour or two of talktime.

Thanks Everyone !

Oh ! December seems so far away! I can barely wait for my next trip !

Have a Great Day, Everyone !

Whatever you do remember to take the phone with you! On my solo trip in January I acccidently left it in my jacket and gave my jacket to my dad to take home. I kinda freaked out when I coudn't find it prior to getting on the plane (to make sure it was turned off), when I got to my hotel I dumped out everything again and it wasn't there called home, yep it was in my jacket pocket (guess that is the blonde in me!). I racked up some nice bills calling home on my credit card! Did I mention I had my charger with me!

Yeah, when I was there on Spring break about 3 years ago, I got my bill over $350 in roaming and long distance.
