Okay...we have a large group (12) that's looking to eat at California Grill. We'd like to be able to see Wishes...our plan is for January 6th. Can someone point me in the right direction? Can I call up and just make an ADR for 12 people? What time should I look for? Do we have a prayer for a window seat with 12? Thanks so much...I'm a bit overwhelmed here, lol.

Hi,

We'll be able to give you a better answer when the January park hours are posted!

We went there for my "all girls" dinner the night before our wedding. I think I had about 15. They have long booths (so half had booth seats and then half had regular chairs). I think it was about 4 or 5 tables pushed together along the long booth against the windows.

I made the ressies by calling Disney Dining. The only hard part is getting your party from the check-in stand up to the top floor. It took about 10 minutes to get the entire party up there (the elevator is tiny).

What do I do if the park hours aren't posted before the 8th of July? That's when I'm making all the ADR's for my trip. (The first half I'm staying off-site) Do I just take a guess based off the year before?

I would look at archived hours - you can find on wdwinfo.com. The hours are generally the same. You should probably make your ADR about 1 to 1 1/2 hours before the estimated fire works time.

When you are that many people they give you a grand gatherings # to use for bookings . You will have to wait for a schedule as far as how to times things. They don't take request on the phone for a window seat you have to do it when you get to the resturant. I tired and that's what I was told.
Have a great time. It's a nice resturant with a beautiful view!

We have an ADR for California Grill in July for 11 people. We didn't request any particular area to be seated. Our dinner will be at 7:40pm, so there's a good chance that our desserts will be served around Wishes. If you go back to the park hours from 2007-2008, you might be able to figure out when the firework was scheduled during that period of time. Dinner @ California Grill usually lasts about an hour and half anyway.
Hope you can get a good window seat.

i don't know if this is something that you are willing to do but, maybe you could make your reservations for 9 pm either way... :confused3

then that way - if wishes is at 9 - then you watch them on the observation deck right before you are seated (we did this in may and it worked perfectly)- or if they are at 10 - then you take your time with your mael and you will see them from your table...

that's my 2 cents :wizard:
