Another booking question about WDW Website

Hi again,

Thanks again for all your great information!!!

If you book on the WDW site for one of the Magic Your Way, room and ticket packages, can you call later when you get a post card (I have and posted about that before) for reduced rates and get it changed? Or is it just best to call and reserve the room and deal with the hopeful post card when it comes in and get it upgraded with tickets then? We are planning the week after Thanksgiving so it's value time.

I believe that the postcard rates are for a room only reservation, not for the packages that include the tickets along with a few other perks.

I would book what you really want and can afford and then if a post card or general public rate happens to come along you can either upgrade resorts or cancel a package and get a room only and add tickets to the room only.

I personally would not book something I had no intention of keeping unless I happened to get discount, cause the discount may never come and there may be limited availability at other resorts by the time I get around to trying to rebook.

Yes, you can call back and get a discount code applied, I did this last year, I ordered and actually paid it all off, then about a week later a special came out and I just called and applied the code, and it was a few hundred $ cheaper... although I am not sure if they will have discount codes that go with the new packages this soon.
