Another Bonnet Creek question!

We last stayed at Bonnet Creek in September. During our stay there was construction of a new landscaping area in front of towers 4 & 5. While the renovation was going on, the walkway around the resort (in front of the water) was closed in front of these buildings.

Does anyone know if that area has been completed?

We are going back in May and while I enjoyed our view from Building 5, it was annoying to always have to walk through the entire parking lot to get around the resort.

going this Sept. well really late Sept, early Oct.

how did you like it last Sept?

Loved it! The whole torn up walkway thing was my only complaint, but that was really just a minor inconvenience, and I know it's temporary. We've stayed at BC in both Sept and Oct (of different years) and have enjoyed both.

did you do the buses or drive yourself.

the reason asking is might take my brother and he likes to drink. so his park of choice would be Epcot - well I still love mK. so might be separate and if he had another way back to BC - that would solve that problem.

I know there is always so much negativity about the shuttle bus system, but DH and I have never had a car at BC. We are from the Chicago area, so driving is definitely NOT something we want to do on vacation. Sure, the buses are not continuous like Disney buses, but they stay on schedule very well. I think we only had one incident on one of our trips where the bus was 15 minutes late. I think it's nice to know exactly when the bus will show up, rather than stand at the stop and not know. Plus, there are plenty of morning and evening drop-off and return times to choose from. I will admit that it would be great if there were more choices for the afternoon hours though.

It would be very easy for your brother to get back to BC if you were in a different park. He can also keep in mind that it is a very short cab ride from the Boardwalk to BC, so if he is drinking in the WS, he can leave through the International Gateway and walk over to the Boardwalk to catch a cab if the bus times are not a good match. We've done this a few times, and it only amounts to about $10, tip included.
