Another BOG question - did I mess up our ADR?

When making ADRs I was assured that since our party size of three includes two adults and a non-ticketed baby (1yo) that I could make ADRs for two people and it would be fine. I'm now concerned about the BOG ADR I was able to snag for two people because of the pre-ordering. Should I have included the baby? Can I just not pre-order and then order three meals (I know she will love the turkey meatloaf kids' meal) when we get there? Or should I start keeping a watch out and try to change our ADR to a party of three? If I messed this up I'm going to be so disappointed! :headache:

When making reservations at any restaurant - not just at WDW - they need to know the total number of humans.

If you show up with an extra person, they'll try to accommodate you, but it may not be possible.

It does seem like common sense now, but it was an honest mistake. When making ADRs, Disney asks for the number of adults in your party, which is why I thought the advice I received was good. Oh well. I did call Disney to see if they could modify the reservation, but they have no special access apart from what you can see in MDE, so I will keep checking the website for an opening for a party of three. The CM I spoke to on the phone checked with his supervisor, and she said not to cancel if I couldn't find another ADR for three, but to show up and the CMs at BOG would "bend over backward" to accommodate us. I feel badly about this, but I'll try to fix it! I have a month to check the system for a party of three, hopefully something will turn up.

I was able to get an ADR for a party of 7 about 3 weeks before our trip last June. I would think a party of 3 would be more likely to open up so I would just keep looking and you probably will get lucky.

Keep checking! ADRs open up all of the time, hopefully one will come up that will work for your whole family.:)

Whoever told you not to include your child gave you very bad advice. Disney counts every person, no matter how small. There is a chance that they BoG will be full to capacity and won't be able to seat an extra people, but it is probably a small chance. Keep checking, and show up with your extra little one only as a last resort. Good luck!

If your ADR is for one of the BOG QS meals (it looks like your ADR may be for lunch?), then I would also search for a reservation for 1 around the time you have your reservation for 2. Once you are inside the restaurant for the BOG QS ADR's, you can simply all sit together. You could put one reservation in your name and one in your spouse's.

I feel like such a rookie! And I've been using the DIS boards for a long time. Don't know what I was thinking. :confused3 First trip I'm planning with a kid, so I guess I technically am a rookie again!

It is indeed for lunch. That is a brilliant idea! I will start checking for availability for one person in addition to three people. Thank you so much!

There was a reservation available for 1 immediately! At the perfect time too. Thank you so much for this great idea!

I wonder if I canceled both now if a res for three would be available. I'm too scared to try though, haha!
