Another banking/borrowing question

Here's the scoop. We have a June UY with a November '08 trip with 2 separate reservations at SSR (weekend cash stay in between). We had to borrow 2 points from 2009 to make the 2nd res. We would like to try for BWV at 7 months for the 2nd reservation. But in fear of losing our SSR res. for that week, we want to borrow the points to make the res. at BWV, then cancel the res. @ SSR and bank those points, because we don't have enough current UY points to do otherwise. However, because 2 of those points were borrowed 2009 points, we can't bank them back and we would lose them if not used by the end of 08 UY, correct? Or can they confirm the reservation, do the cancellation and then work the points?
Hope this isn't too confusing. Any help is appreciated.

How about if people here comment on if at 7 months out SSR was ever booked so that you couldn't get the sort of room that you are "giving up" at SSR. Are you going Thanksgiving week? If not, I would ask the CM how SSR looked with the idea that if you "lose" BWV in the few minutes, could you get back into SSR. I would not want to borrow that many points and then bank, but that's just me....well, how many points are you talking about?

I would check with MS on this one. They MAY be able to reallocate the points to use the 2 points that you had borrowed.

As long as it is all SSR points, I think they will allow what you want to do -- switch some regular points in the ressie with some borrowed ones, but have MS confirm. In the past I have had something similar where I made a ressie with regular points at BW and later I banked some BW points into the use year of the trip and they let me take out the regular points and put in the banked points. I think what they do not allow is when you make a ressie at 11 months and then at 7 months try to take out the points you used and replace them with those from another resort.

I'm talking about 110 points but I think your idea is what I will go for. I'll ask MS what the chances would be to get a room if I had to get back into SSR. I don't want to mess it up. Or, better yet, maybe I'll just add-on and I'll have enough.
