Maybe this was asking before, but...Can I take to the parks my backpack with wheels?

We are going to use it at the airport like a carry on, but a wonder if I can use it at the parks.

Anyone use it one of this before?

I could be wrong but I believe that Disney frowns upon anything that is pulled behind you...coolers, wagons, rolling backpacks. Not sure if that is the 'official' word though.

I think I remember reading something that said no wheels. And in May we saw sooo many kids with the tennis shoes that have wheels and Disney says no about those now too.

Thanks anyway!
It sounds so good...well, just in my mind!! :teeth:

When I was at WDW last week, I saw several people with rolling backpacks. For example, I remember one man with one right in front of me at SE. He rolled it almost until he got on the ride, and rolled it again as soon as he got on solid floor, so the CMs must have seen him. And I thought someone said no wheelie shoes allowed, but I saw them Everywhere!

When we were there Nov 05 we used my mothers rolling backback the entire time. We never had any problem with it and never were told to get ride of it. I think the no wheels rules is for things like the shoes with wheels or skateboards. Disney doesn't want a whole bunch of people running each other over (Not that it doesn't happen anyway :) )

One the main Dis Discussion Forums there is that box with current Disney news/updates (not sure if there's an official name or title for that box). If you scroll almost the whole way down there's a topic - List of items prohibited from being carried into Disney Parks/DTD. I clicked the link to check on this and it led to a listing of general information, but I didn't see the Prohibited Items list.

When that update was first put on there, I'm pretty sure there was a thread about rolling back packs that stated they were on the prohibited list (as well as Wheelies). It looks like it's not really being enforced, though. I guess it's safe to assume that if you take one, you might be let in with it, but be prepared to be turned away since they are "officially" prohibited.

I see that the OP is already in WDW with her backpack. I'm sure she is having a blast!

I once asked Disney by email if rolling backpacks were allowed and they told me to bring nothing with wheels. I admit that I do not like the rolling backpacks in the parks. However, I too saw many of them in the parks in August. I did not see as many of them on our annual Christmas/NYE trip. Perhaps the CMs enforce the rules differently depending on the crowd level. A "don't sweat the small stuff" mentality that probably helps keep them sane.

I plead with those of you who wish to bring rolling backpacks into the parks when it is crowded to carry them and not roll them. I think they are dangerous and have tripped on one. People simply don't expect someone to be dragging something behind them and in a crowd (like after Wishes) you are jam packed and can't even see the bag on the ground until it's too late. Thanks for your consideration :).
