I am just wondering what kind of ID is acceptable for my dd to get the b-day gift card. She will be turning 4 and she has a valid military dependent id. Does anyone know if they will accept this at the window? I have already registered online and the info wasn't all that specific. I would rather avoid bringing her birth certificate to the park if I don't need to. TIA!

Never heard of using anything other than a passport or original birth certificate.

It "sounds like" (to me) a USA military dependent ID (if it is a PHOTO ID)
would be "official" enough proof,
but, I just don't know.

I would not even count on getting a valid answer by calling Disney.
The phone answers are notoriously untrustworthy.

If other military families have had this exact experience while at Disney,
their answers would be a great source of info.

HERE is the info from Disney-

Q: What kind of identification do I need to show at the gate?

A: Proper valid identification would be a Driver's License including a photo, Government-issued Photo ID, or a Government-issued Passport. If you are under age 18 and don't have any of the above mentioned ID, an original or a certified copy of a Birth Certificate is required. School IDs or children security IDs are not deemed government-issued photo IDs and will not be accepted.

Thanks Robo, that's exactly my problem. It looks like it should be acceptable, but I just don't know for sure.

I was thinking about calling Disney but I have gotten incorrect and conflicting info in the past. I was hoping that a DIS'er would have the answer.

Well, in the link Robo posted, it lists "government issued photo ID" as one of the acceptable forms of ID. Does her dependent ID have her photo? If so, then she is good to go. The link goes on to say that if those under 18 DO NOT have any of the listed acceptable forms of ID, then they would need a birth certificate.

The problem is, school photo ID's (which are also "government issued") are not considered acceptable.

That's why just assuming that these US military ID's will suffice can be iffy.
Again, I just don't know for sure.

What I do know for sure is that an original birth certificate (in most states, that means a raised seal) will be accepted.
