Hi,

I checked Atlantis online and their best rate is 275.00USD for one night...

Anyone know if they have a day rate/pass? with access to all the facilities? There is nothing about it on the website.

Thanx!

I don't know the specifics, but I have read on this board that they do offer a day rate, based on availability, first-come, first-served, with no reservations available. They don't publicize it anywhere including on their web site. The rate is something like $75.

My family was on the Wonder in December and all 8 of us took a taxi over to Atlantis for $4-5 a person. I studied up on the Disboards so I was prepared to get a day room if available. I stopped at the main lobby at Atlantis and they said to get a day room you can get one at any of the Towers you want but you have to walk to that reservation desk to inquire about one. We decided to check Coral Towers since I thought it was the closest to the beach, pools, and casino to make everyone happy in our group. I had read that most of the day rooms were a loooonnng walk away in the hotel so I was worried that it would be worth it since we had two senior citizen moms with us. I checked in at the Coral Towers desk and told them what I wanted. She pointed to go to the in house phone across the lobby and call the reservation desk. It was like a phone booth you went into and I called and the lady on the phone said for a party of 8 I had to get two rooms at $150 each plus taxes and fees. The fees are accessed per person but not sure on age limit. Well, we got this far and two day rooms were about the same as what it was to get an overnight room in advance so I took the 2 day rooms. Then I was to proceed back to the desk across the room again to formally check in. When I got there and told her I was there for 2 day rooms she looked at me puzzled and quietly said "oh, you should've told me originally you had 8 people". She said let me cancel one for you and did it very discretely and was watching over her back all the time with other employees coming and going. She did cancel one room and gave us 8 cards for one room. I asked for a room very close if possible and we got a room three rooms down from the hallway (very short walking distance from the Coral Towers lobby.
We had a great time but it was cooler the day we were there. Go early and see everything but also relax and enjoy!!! My four kids (5-13) loved looking at the all the aquariums and the swinging bridge. The beach water temp was very cold. We were asked about hair braiding and jet ski rentals. I had read that some people were appalled by being asked repeatedly. We didn't think it was any big deal, we just said no 3-4 times and it was done. The resort itself is worth seeing in our opinion and we would recommend it.

Sorry this is lengthy but hope this helps, let me know if you have any specific questions!!!

Thank you for all the information about your day at Atlantis.

I originally had reserved 10 days there this August but my Husband gave me a surprise trip to Disney & a cruise for Christmas... so I cancelled Atlantis - but i figured I could still spend a day there and see if I want to go back next year for the 10 days.

I was thinking of booking and paying for a room in advance but if the weather was bad, or someone was sick or whatever.. I did not want to be committed to going to Atlantis if I changed my mind.

When you were there did you notice the pools being cold? I had heard a few comments about this.

Did you dine there? and do you know what time we are suppose to be back on the ship by that day?

Thanx!

It was chilly there that day but my kids didn't say anything about the coolness of the water and I didn't get in so can't help you much there.

We did the day room for the same reasons of worrying about weather, maybe a kid sick, etc.

We ate at one of the places along the pool area where a band was playing. It was fun and the food was good. It might of been like $8 for a hamburger and fries but we still would rather deal with spending a couple bucks more a person for that then carrying around a little collaspable cooler with sandwiches from the ship. To each their own though.

The ship didn't set sail until 11pm you have all day but you do have to be checked out of your day room by 6pm. We left around 6:15 and headed back to the ship to get ready for our late dinner seating. For the four day we were at Atlantis on Monday and it was quiet and only I think one other ship docked at Nassau. We stayed on for the three day and we went again to Atlantis on Friday and there were atleast 5 ships docked and that day we stayed on board and of course the weather was warmer that day.
Remember the day rooms are first come first serve. Since it was dead on Monday we didn't get there until like 11am and it was no problem. I don't know what it would've been like on Friday with all the other ships docked.

Hope this helps you some!! We too, thought about just vacationing at Atlantis sometime. Great opportunity to check it out!!

Is it possible to walk to the Atlantis from where the ship docks, or do you have to take a taxi?

Has anyone seen the day rates as low as $75 per room? Can a family of 5 (dh, dw, ds13, dd9, dd6) check into one room?

It would be a long walk. You'd be better off taking a taxi. Not sure if they'll allow five people in a room.

Nanc,
Love all your info about your day at Atlantis. Nice to hear that there may even be an island band playing there in the afternoon. Also, that if lucky, a room with a convenient location can be had And, we have a 4Day booked. Off season. So I was really happy to hear that it was not crowded with cruiseships - thus cruise ship passengers at Atlantis!

Boy, these boards are GREAT!

PS: I too have always heard that the dayrooms at Atlantis run $150.00.

We paid $150 for day room and in one of the towers (the newest) it is a $190 for one. I think its pretty much their standard pricing at Atlantis. When I was on the house phone speaking to a reservationist in the lobby she told me I could get up to 5. If they tell you no when you are making the reservation I would just ask when you actually check in at the counter for an extra card.

So to get a day room you have to walk to the tower of your choice where you want your room, go to the in house phone and ask for reservations, after making the reservation then go to check in desk right in the same lobby to pay and get your room cards.
