Another Atkins Question

I can almost feel the boot hitting my behind as you guys kick this too-many-?-asking-newbie out the door!

I do not eat egg in any form unless it is baked into something(all of those somethings are no-no's on Atkins LOL). Egg and I do not get along in the whole form. Am I starting what will be a losing battle? Is egg totally necessary on Atkins or can I do it without egg?

I am on day 5 of induction, and although I can and sometimes do eat eggs, they have not sounded good to me since I've started Atkins. I don't see where it would be a problem when you have so many other choices. But wait to hear what the veterans say!!

You absolutely, positively do NOT need to eat eggs to go on Atkins! Eggs are an option on Atkins, that is all, they are by no means a requirement! There are PLENTY of other foods to eat, so don't fret about eggs, by all means. Just buy the foods you do like and start with those!

Have you tried the All Whites in the dairy section? They have a totally different taste than a whole egg, it's just the whites. I make onion and cheese omlettes....delicious!
You can do without eggs on Atkins
I'm on Atkins and I don't eat red meat, chicken, turkey or ham etc.. I still have plenty of variety to choose from.

I am in my 4th week of Atkins and I don't eat eggs.

I have made 2 kinds of quiches though - those I can tolerate. Mix up those eggs with some cheese, meat, and heavy cream and it pretty much kills the "eggy" taste. I just can't eat it several days in a row. I've got to cut down the amounts on those recipes.

But that's IT for me and eggs. OH - WAIT! I DID try the Mock Danish. It wasn't bad. The recipe is listed on the Atkins recipe thread at the top of the page.

OK - so that IS it for me and eggs.

You can do FINE on Atkins without eggs.
