Another Annual Pass question

I know all about how it works, but my question is about the goodies you can get. I'm well aware of annual passholder pins but I've seen AP lanyards that go with the pins how do you get those? Do you get them when you first activate your pass? Also what other goodies can you get as an AP holder besides discounts.

The lanyards were offered during specified time frames in the past. They are not offered on a regular basis.

My best advice as to current offers if you don't currently receive a Mickey Monitor is to keep checking the AP page on Deb's web page. Also, themeparks.com usually posts an abridged version of the MM shortly after it is released.
