Another Alaskan cruise question

Sorry, I'm asking so many cruise questions, but there's some topics that aren't allowed on cruisecritic.com. As I've mentioned before, this will only be our 2nd cruise, & the other was 12 years ago. I'm usually good at finding the best deals for all our trips, but I must admit that I don't know where to start with booking a cruise. I would love recommendations for good, dependable agents to book with. If I book via the internet, I will need someone who I can stay in contact with & is willing to work with me to answer all my questions. Should I just use a TA, that I can talk to in person? I don't have an agent that I use regularly, because I can get better deals by researching things myself. TIA

Since our Alaskan cruise was also our first cruise, we used a local TA. She was great with handling all of our paperwork, our millions of questions, and all the stuff that we may not have known about if we had done it alone. She also stayed on the lookout for better deals for us and worked to get us an upgrade!

It was our first cruise also and I had no idea what I was doing, so went through AAA. I would use them again.

Speaking from experience ... lol ( I am VERY biased ... read my profile)... it is good to have someone local or atleast that will be easy to communicate with even if it is via eamil during this process. Alaska is such an AWESOME unbelievable trip. It is by far our VERY favorite (not counting WDW of course)!!!!

Saying that, I have lots of clients even that are local that we email more than they come in to see us. Just make sure to get someone who is willing to answer all your questions, gets back to you in a timely manner, and it is also helpful to go through an agency where that person (or atleast someone in the agency) has been there, done that! Just to give you extra ideas.
