I booked everything through Disney & thought I read all of the terms & conditions. I received my Airtran tickets and just happen to check the schedules today since that got kind of messed up while booking (whole other story) & I've been trying to contact Airtran about that with no luck.

Now I see that both our flight times into & out of Orlando have been changed, not by just 1/2 hour but 3 hours & 5 hours respectively. I checked out their website & it states:

Nevermind. Thanks to caseyem67's post, that I read after posting this, I called Airtran & changed my time, no charge!

Airtran is FAMOUS for changing their flight times. Just found out by accident they changed my n/s flight DTW to MCO in Aug ... moved it up from 11:44AM to 8:00AM ... made me pretty darned happy. :cool1: They changed my return flight by pushing it out an hour ... so we'll be getting home very late that night. But that's OK too ... just wish I had been notified.

I get an email notification if they change my flights. (A+ member, its free and I like to know if they move my times) I call them up, and have it fixed in 10min. for no fee. They canceled our non-stop at 3:30 for October and put us automatically on the 8:30am instead. One phone call and I moved it to a 4:30 1 stop which was a no plane change layover.

Anytime there is a schedule change on your itenerary that is changed by Airtran, you can have it changed to any flight that day that works better that has space available in the class you booked. (Coach for coach, buisness class or coach if you book business class) Example: You book a 12:15 flight because of the price. A month later, you're notified you flight has been changed to 3:00 pm. You don't like this time, but the 8:00 am flight has plenty of room. They will move you for no charge...and sometimes if you ask nicely they will do your seat assignments....can't guarantee it, but it's woth a try. Trust me:thumbsup2

And if nothing that day works, if your plans can accomodate it,ask about the day before or after!!

Thanks for the info. They did change it no charge, which I was surprised and quite happy about. I did try to get it for the day before but they said something about 4 hours which I didn't really understand.

The rep said I would just use the ticket I have even though it has the wrong flight # & time, said it would be in the computer but that makes me a little nervous. She said she would e-mail me a confirmation but I didn't receive it, I'll call again today for it. It's a good thing my grandmother taught me to always call to confirm a flight.:thumbsup2

Last year I booked thru Disney and my flight times were changed also. I called as you did and they were wonderful about changing my reservation for me as well. They told me the same thing that I would still use my original paper ticket that I got when I booked. I had no problem using them at the airport on my way down or way back. I was worried about this also but no issues at all. Have a good trip!

Yes, AirTran is notorious for mucking with their flight times. I received an email notification today that my Oct flight, both departing and return flights were changed. The outgoing flight was a nonstop (the only one they had for my departure day), and they have now cancelled that flight and put me on a connecting. My return flight, which also had been nonstop is now a direct flight with a stop (but no layover) in Chicago. Grrrrr. I likely will call and request to be moved to the nonstop flight leaving a day earlier, but that means another hotel night I hadn't anticipated.
