I don't know if this was asked already or not, but I was wondering if we are still able to take wet wipes on the plane with us? We usually take a pack of wet-wipes with us in are backpack, but my DW had mentioned that there is usually some liquid at the bottom of the packages. So I'm unsure if this would be considered a no-no? Any help on this would be great. Thanks.

TSA took my MIL's tweezers last year before boarding. Now she looks like she has 2 caterpillars above her eyes. :smokin:

Kevin?I know you are being silly. But, if they took the tweezers last year.Your MIL, couldnt buy another pair since last year. So, she wouldnt look like a caterpiller :confused3 :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Now why didn't I think of that?! ;)

I went to the TSA site and couldn't find specific information about wet wipes. Since we can't bring antibacterial hand gel, I am hoping to bring individually wrapped hand wipes.

Another thing I can't find specific information on is magic markers for a small felt Tink coloring kit I bought for dd to use on the plane. :confused3

Besides the TSA website, you may also check on your airline's website.

Question: Why would the airlines website be more informative than the one who makes and implements the rules?

I would expect wet wipes in individual packets would be fine, there is little if any liquid in them.
As to the magic markers, since there is NO ban on pens I would imagine they would be fine. Some people, however, are highly sensative to the smell of the liquid from them. I have people at work who get massive headaches from them.

I would think the individual airport websites would be more specific as they can post how their individual TSA Manager is interpreting the master TSA list.

Airports, perhaps, airlines, I doubt it.
It is unfortunate that the TSA is NOT on the same page everywhere.

I have found that by calling our local airport information desk, I get the most informative answers to any questions I have. :) Might be because RDU isn't very large, but the people manning the info phones are very helpful, plus, if it regards current security ?'s, there's usually a TSA person available for the answers. :thumbsup2
Now, it's not as if I'm on the phone with them all the time :rotfl: , it's just that we've had various relatives flying in and out during this latest "alert", and the rules kept changing! :confused3

We're talking about the TSA here, right? Enough said...

I love the TSA's tagline on their website...

TSA ... VIGILANT, EFFECTIVE, EFFICIENT.

OK folks... fill in your own joke here... :thumbsup2
