Just made our reservations for the Fort. Well be returning On April 10th.:goodvibes

Because of finances well be cutting back on a few things; trip went from two weeks to 9 days. We are looking at cutting out the Mickey's Breakfast and Hoop Dee Doo also. I was wondering if the BBQ which we have never tried would be worth a try, what are the differances.
Also we had a problem with the manager at the Trails End, if shes still there we might skip that completely. Her name is LeeJean
How popular is the Wildreness Pool since the rehab. My mother is 86 and we use that pool because its quieter, has the shallowness brought in more families with smaller children.

Any opinions and answers are always appreciated.

What is the 'Mickey's Breakfast'?

If I were to cut out the Hoop-de-Doo from our vacation, my family would ruthlessly Hoop my de-Doo to a tree and would not let me plan even a yard sale in the future.

I've never been to the BBQ, but have read varying reviews of the same. I believe most tend to be in the realm of 'skipp-able'.

I can only imagine the pool is more popular with the addition of the water slide, but have never used it, so I'll let more experienced persons answer that one.

Aprils sounds like a good time frame. Enjoy your visit.

Sorry, Mickeys Breakfast is short for Chef Mickeys at Contemprary. Did they put a slide at the Wilderness Pool I thought they only did that at the Meadows Pool.

You're right! I was talking about the Meadows Pool. Sorry, they were refurbing that one when I was there 2 times ago. I don't know if there is a slide at Wilderness Pool and I've never used it.

The pool at the Cabins was recently refurbished, and as I understand it, was made uniformly not-deep. Is that the Wilderness Pool of which you speak?

The Meadows Pool is always crowded, even in cool weather. And it sounds like your trip will be during at least some spring breaks.

We ALWAYS take our kids to the BBQ, but it may be more skippable for all- adult parties. Food is about the same as the HDD. Has a stage band and singing and dancing mostly for the kids, with a lot of character interaction.

We've only eaten from TE for take out, but I remember your writeup about your problems there. We eat mostly in the Parks or in our motorhome.

Enjoy, and safe trip.
